Biased opinion, however....
The Mk1 172 was only made at the end of production of the older style clio, therefore there arent too many about.
The Mk2 172 was made throughout the production of the newer style clio, therefore there are more of them about.
Performance will be more or less the...
thank you, so i was right then ;)
modifying the software when the new law comes in seems like hassle that could be avoided by buying the B2 which does the same things. Just unplug the laser detector when the law comes in.
Gday!
there arent that many problems really, if you buy it second hand then the problems will have already been sorted anyway.
Mine has no problems and i love driving it every day!

I will continue to use Optimax...
Renault make no money in suggesting we use optimax in our cars... therefore there must be a valid reason for suggesting it.
I dont know if there is a difference or not... but i shall use what is recomended in my high performance vehicle :)
mine doesnt, ive modified it after phoning them for advice.

illegal.
they must be standard font, white front with yellow rear. Dealers name at the bottom with no other logo apart from the optional country flag.
oh, and they need to be spaced correcty too.
lowering is a change from standard spec tho....
i was just curious cos its only a change in wheel colour. It dont cost me extra with greenlight to declare, but just wondered...

Those of you who have refurbed your original alloys a different colour... have you told your insurance?
just wondering, cos they arent a change from the standard spec... just a change in colour?
/Dan.

the ones above are compressed 50% so let me know if you want the ones straight from the camera.
heh, amazed how my little canon ixus camera coped with the high speeds... :D
I would get a 172... the prices have come down so much recently that they are very affordable.
Mk1 172, 2001 Y plate 50k miles, approx £5500
Mk2 172, 2002 02 plate, 30k miles, approx £6500
