what engine do these things have? hybrid was pulling on it out of corners onto the straights....creating a sizable gap....

Re: Mk1 Hybrid Project it was pretty good, handled nice, bit slippery at times but im putting that down to the spec 2's on the front, wont be getting those again anytime soon... front brakes kept locking up also, think that might have been down to the tyres also, locking up caused the two offs...

yeah....oulton tommorow :) its getting exhaust on the 19th from JP, ive just lent the magnex thats on off winston... il be going back to paul either before or after that, whenever he can fit me in :)

Re: Mk1 Hybrid Project Started early today, just bolting stuff back together.... Nice and cold as usual... Got it all back together by about lunchtime, then jump started it off another car, fired up first time....thank god! Sounded like it was running perfect, so took it for a spin round...

Re: Mk1 Hybrid Project i cant even describe how much better it is than the valver head, so much more power mid range to top.....im sure its blowing from the manifold/downpipe joint too....but im not messing with it until the weekend.... all in all it was worth the work.....so much better to...

Re: Mk1 Hybrid Project Got it all back together and fired it up around lunchtime, started first time.... :) just had the exhaust sorted-ish to try and stop it blowing, but its reet and drives nice! Will post some pics later

Re: Mk1 Hybrid Project LOL at whats been happening while ive been outside, oh well....here goes, its all good news btw :) Started by removing the head from the block, to see only two cylinders had been firing... Then upon closer inspection it seemed the exhaust valves had touched at one...

depends.....16v has same hubs as valver/williams iirc, 8v does not, so if its an 8v, i doubt it
