Nope you don’t have to use Touch ID it is handy for various apps that require a login tho. If you have none apple music you want to sync from ITunes just turn on WiFi syncing and it will do it automatically.

We have a similar sounding issue and we have BT fibre. I think BT and plus net are virtually the same now apart from the branding. BT is the top of my list of s**t companies.

Sonos and we have a homepod in the bathroom, oh and apple music sub as well so It would be a ballache to switch.

^^ this, your basically just buying into different software at this point. It’s the only reason I stick with Apple because it works with my speakers/car play etc.

It will be gradual but give it 10 years I bet a lot of stuff won’t have a wired connection. Even further ahead It will be all done through 4/5/6G and we will do away with routers all together.

I guess the trouble with that is it won’t be long before we start seeing things without a wired connection (TVs, consoles etc)

Netgear nighthawk routers are pretty good but pricey.

Bit late now but mine was like that, I just welded a couple of nuts on to repair it been fine for the last few years.

If its a cheap car and it makes it run better its a no brainer.
