    Urgent! - Windscreen getting replaced

Had mine replaced on the 182 and it's an oem solar screen, not 100% sure if it's Pilkington but i think it is. It's got two bloody small chips in it already and it's only 3-4 month old. Trackdays FTL 😞

Yeah mate, i got the big bottle for £40. It's going to last me forever 😂 With a bit about the size of a 10p on a cloth it did pretty much half the scuttle panel on the Clio :openmouth:

Exhaust place in the North West

I remember that. My brother had his backbox chop done on his Megane there, was nowhere near as bad as what happened to yours.

    Scoffs R5 on the rollers

Doubt he's anywhere near done. First run was gate pressure 1.6bar, second run at 800bhp was 2.8bar. I bet he's going well over 3bar.

My brother has the Ultrac Vorti on his Megane 225. We did a track day in the wet at Oulton last month and they were brilliant, nothing came past us all day.

Exhaust place in the North West

@boffey had a Danmar exhaust on his 172, it was ridiculously loud! That was a custom one though, so a tweak to a current exhaust might be ok.

    Tyre pressures

Keep them at road pressure tbh. 33/30psi Doubt you'll get them mega hot. Bleed them off if they get too high.

I think that AG 200 used to belong to @boffey before he sold it to Ktec. The one that appears in the top banner picture on here with @Christopher UR 200.

Have you taken your skirts off, to check for rust?

They have plastic rivets along the bottom that need drilling, then it's just a case of lifting them off the clips. Replace with peel rivets.

    Geometry set up, spacers etc

They're roughly -1.5 deg on the rear as standard or it will be when lowered on coilovers, mine is. Only way to add camber on the rear is shims behind the stub axle but -1.5-2 degrees is enough. Toe in on the rear as standard so keep it like that or have it parallel (will need shims to do that...

    Geometry set up, spacers etc

i've got -1.5 degrees camber each side and 12 minutes total toe out. If it's a full on track weapon, then you'll want -2 or -3 degrees camber, but you can only get so much with the bolts.

    M Factory Lsd

Used a lot in the Honda scene. Some taking 900bhp with the drag cars no problem. The main parts of it are stronger than the Quaife i've read.

    Geometry set up, spacers etc

That was to adjust the camber settings of the bolts and front toe. They were the only place i knew at short notice, no doubt it's cheaper elsewhere.

    Geometry set up, spacers etc

Eibach ones are fine yeah. Had mine set up at Blink Motorsport in Winsford. Did the job but not the cheapest (~£90) and had to wait a while in the mcdonald's nearby.
  24. Mr Trailer Man

    Geometry set up, spacers etc

Should be able to get -1.5-2.0 degrees camber with camber bolts. That will be a good start. With 12 minutes total toe out.

ET38 (which is 172 cup Turini offset) is ideal really. I believe Pro Race 1.2's are ET35 and a lot of people run them, so i don't see a problem.

Megane 3 Rs as a track car?

That's a good point, make sure it's the Cup.
  28. Mr Trailer Man

Megane 3 Rs as a track car?

If he gets a Megane 250 most of them actually dyno at around 270bhp standard. They'll remap to 320bhp easily. Bigger injectors, decat and an intercooler you'll be looking at 350bhp. The Mk3's have bigger brakes than the Mk2's, so standard calipers and discs are fine just a decent pad is...

    Tyre/size recommendations... mid-range

Hankook V12's or Uniroyal Rainsport 3's would be my choice for a middle of the range tyre. Pilot Sport 3's aren't mega money in that size though.
