somebody has ordered one of these at my work, should be here in a couple weeks. White, carbon bonnet, rollcage, zauhst, the tyres, everything!! Should be quite nice, i'll get some pics! The exhaust is £2650, but the roll cage and tyres are only £750!?

surely they'll get cheaper credit crunch or not. Their gonna get older and do more miles, so obvs they'll be worth less??

theres a kit on the internet somewhere which replicates the 197. looks exactly the same front and rear, just not as wide.

you can just buy a new handle kit mate. NOt sure on part numbers or cost though, iirc bout £36 or something? Fairly easy to fit yourself aswell.

any clio is affected tbh (except mk1s.), ive check 06 plate campus'. if neither of the parts are rusty they'll just spray it up and test it 20times.

not too keen on the lights mate but each to their own! oh and btw how come your rear lights are where the rear fogs are on normal clio lights and vice versa??

yeah theres not that many bolts. i meant to say the tool bit to remove the bolts are a 30torques and a 20torques (star shaped). i cant remember exact locations though.

its a common prob with these switches, youll need a new one. Bad news is renault upped the price a little while back, there about 20 odd quid now, instead of about 6!!!

if i can remember right, spark plugs are 54k, and fuel i think is also 54k/72k. Can check tomorrow unless anyone else knows?

it will turn the air con on, obvs with the engine on. in the engine bay, once you've pushed it, you should hear the condensor kind of click and start working. IF it doesnt get that cold, you'll most probs need a re-gas if it hasnt been used much, or you may have a leak in the system.

have you looked inside cover of the service book? You'll have to go renault. itll cost you a tenner, and you'll need V5 to prove its your vehicle.

the kit might not have shown up on dialogys, if thats where they checked for the part, becuase its kind of like an accessory, so it would have been in the accessory book. The price sounds right for a dealer, some parts are stupidly priced.

i fitted these to a 197 a while ago. Dont go for the sideskirts!!! they stick out loads and dont look like there fitted properly. PLus you have to drill to big holes in either side of the car!! the front on its own looks good, you have to drill to big holes in that aswell, but it wont be as bad...

i think most of em are getting replaced now. we used to just check em and lubriacte em if they were a little rusty, but now were replacing nearly all of em.

have you tried adding someone on to ur policy like a nan or something, but you still being the policy holder. Normally makes it a lot cheaper?

take the mirror off if not, should be able to see the clips and use screwdriver to push em out.

my 1.4 was reading around 19-22mpg when i used to hammer it round town, but now im more careful, im seeing 30-32mpg. When using my dads range rover though, i'm lucky if i see 10mpg!

i had to fit this kit to a blue 197. Looks good from a distance, but up close looks pants. Sideskirts rivet on underneath then just have one plastic clip at the back! So they can easily get wripped off! And, you have to drill an 8mm or so hole on both sides of the car and on the front bumper!!
