Hopefully be taking my Turinis to be powdercoated tomorrow, what colour should I go for?
I fancy black, but then tyres look a bit tired on them all the time....anthracite looks good but done a lot....
this is my car....
If you look at the pic on rally design, theres a plain shank inbetween the bits of thread on the stud, so once this 'hits' the hub when it is screwed in it wont go any further.
Will be fine, I think they have 10/12mm of thread on the small side which goes into the hub, so wont hit anything...
No probs.
I'm after some myself. Just remember you need to have enough length to clear through the nut to be on the safe side.
Assemble the studs into the hub with loctite.
Go for longer than you 'think' you'll need as you can always trim to suit.
Rally Designs for wheel studs mate.
Go to http://www.rallydesign.co.uk/index.php?cPath=731&osCsid=ea6f0n5f5iltle3dunalpvbmm5
Choose the desired length and then the nuts. Standard bolts are M12 x 1.5mm with a 23 or 28mm thread length.
Do a search for wheel studs on here, theres a few threads...
These are the exact wheels....
Hmm, I'll hopefully get time to try them on the car in the next few days to see, suppose it might work.
Just ordered my new tyres so can't drive on them yet...
Can someone please change the colour of the wheels to gold please.
Mainly for a quick glimpse, 99% sure the colour will change!
(Hope Fletcher doesnt mind me borrowing his car!)
40mm are the lowest you can go with sports on springs.
Do you have no sence of measurement though, get a ruler and see how big 40mm actually is, it's hardly going to be silly low is it. Will just fill the arches better.
Adrian Flux mate.
Thats a lot for you! I wasn't going to pay over £2k for mine but it came in nicely under.
Car looks nice, wish I bought a black one :(
Quite like the Saxo actually!
I got my 182 when I was 19, awesome car! How much insurance you paying? Mines modified and I'm paying £1800 with 2ncb at 19 and 3 points.
The Enkeis will be going a mad colour, maybe orange or green, I'm gonna try and pick up some other 16s to use on the road, and then keep the enkeis purely for track work.
Thats the main plan...
Not sure why you're comparing power gains to a sport, completely different engines etc so there is no correlation.
RS Tuning got an extra 8bhp out of a 1.2 16v I think by remapping it, which is pretty decent, 10% power gain.
I'm not giving in to the pressure!
It does look much better, but the 15's serve a purpose! Plus the standards have a budget on as I got a puncture, and 1 nearly dead PE2, so I need another pair....
Anywhere know the cheapest place for a new pair?
RSTuner will be ocming at some point too...
Guppy, it's a bit noisier but nothing major, if you didnt know it was on the you wouldnt realise if you know what i mean!
Wiley, stuff that im too lazy!
Put the standard wheels back on today as I'm going to refurb my Enkeis over christmas.
I think it looks awesome, I wish they were lighter! I'm chasing some Turinis next though hopefully!
Not been cleaned in ages, and not planning to either until the weather warms up!
A few pics after my...
Ah gay.....guess i'll just live with the odd scrape on bumpy road thrashes then!
Fletcher, not yet, but come March time I'll hopefully be doing a fair few, I'm aiming for at least 1 a month when the weather brightens up.
