My insurance has always been over 1k until now. Depending on your budget , but 1.5k is an ok upper limit any more than that and its alot tbh. Look at 106 gti or C2 etc.

omnia is the best on orange for touchscreen Its windows mobile tho' which is erratic. Looks very very nice and has some nice menus/features. Much better than the Tocco. N96 i havent played with yet.
