hiya lads just a quick one, im getting and rattle/vibration noise coming from the front of the car when accelerating. it doesnt do it all the time and when it does it ranges from slight to bad, and its like on and off, especially when going over bumps. any help would be appreciated

tried changing the battery, cleaning the crank sensor, cleaning out trottle body.

have you put the leads in the right order, the numbers on the leads should read 4-3-2-1, but i state this isnt the firing order

could be battery, check the immobiliser light on the clocks does it flash differently to when you turn the key and it start, it should flash faster when you put the key in to say the code reader around the barrel is reading the key, if carrys on flashing as it would when it standing then it isnt...

make sure the mechanism is free not rusted up and greased

yeh remap or stand alone ecu depending on how agressive the cams are, mine did the same thing cus i went for a unichip instead of a remap.

you will probably find its the bushes on the dogbone mount, i had same knocking noise when booting it, changed the bushes to the ktec uprated ones and never had the problem since, didnt evn have excessive vibration either.

could be key reader or key, had similar problem. try using spare key

i think the steering lock gone on me car, its an 07 197 sport with the optional key card and engine start button, you can hear the lock click when you start and pull the card out when you turn the engine off but steering wheel wont lock, has any one had this problem on there 197, cheers ryan
