never had a problem with black or yellow cabs, but private hire firms are 5hite!
most of the time if i see a vectra, 406 estate or cavalier i expect it to be a taxi driver and get ready to be pi55ed off!

i had an engine transplant to the 1.2 16v unit, pulls really well through all the gears upto a steady 135mph ish, but 0-60 is slightly higher.
the better sides are it gives about 1 or 2 mpg more over the old engine, and the tyres seems to last a few more miles, thats about all,
if im honest...
if i were you id get a crosser, much more performance and hugely fun but it depends on your transport and money situation, but definately worth the exyra, especially if you have the time/money and space to use it properly.

im not too sure on which to go for, as im aware that white wheels will be a b**ch to keep clean, but they would stand out a lot more, which colour is easier to get a good finish with, ie show up the imperfections more??
on my clio, 1.2 the same as yours the light comes on at 58ish miles, and ive pushed it once to 50 but the car was shuddering a bit when i floored it!!
wouldnt do it again, one of my mates has a 1.6 51 plate and his regularly says 100+ miles and then just cuts out, hes used to it now and just...

i dont understand why these, and auto lights are fitted on cars?!
way i think of it is if you arent capable of turning lights on when its dark, and wipers on when it rains then you shouldnt be on the road!!

in answer to your question though im pretty sure they are easy enough to hardwire in with a simple switch hidden somewhere out of eyesight.

some people said that on another thread i posted on here about which to choose over GSD3's and T1-R's, but the toyo's got a '1.5' grip in wet conditions on the mytyres tyre test, and the GSD3's got '2.1', and both tyres have roughley the same kilometers tested??
