I've spoken to a few people that have driven them, they all reckon the basic 200 is a better car if not tracking it. Need to try both, as I think track days are behind me.
Convo earlier
Sales guy"What colour are you interested in?"
Me"Whatever comes quickest?"
Sales "You have no preference??"
Me "It's a hideous car. I'll spend very little time looking at the thing"
Had a blast in a few (golf mk5/6 gti, r26 etc). Can't match the responsiveness of NA, flip side being epic torque/tuning. I'm always worried about turbo's going pop on track after seeing a FRS implode a few yrs back.
Good to see there's some decent staff involved with Renault. Over the past week I've sent enquiries through the Lookers website (twice), and called 5 of their dealerships (told I'd be called back). Not had any contact from any of them.
Served to remind me why I said I never wanted to deal with...
Thats your choice fella. But they are better to drive, so yes, yes you would feel the difference on the road. I don't think I mentioned a cup packed car being faster on track, did I?
Rubbish lol.
If you're planning on coilovers, no problem having a car without cup suspension.
If you aren't, the cup packed car drives better, and will be easier to sell on.
Service history means f**k all on cars of this age/mileage/cost. I change the oil etc myself on a regular basis, that won't show on a service history. And I could get a fictional, fully stamped history in 24hrs.
