Might be worth speaking to fred. There's a company that drivers dream days use, they did a demo at autosport.
If the shed doesn't sell I'd be interested.
It's not 20% peak though, is it? The 182's are a fair whack lighter, they are slightly quicker.
Both gunning it, there's not much in it. But normal driving, foot down in the midrange I think the 1*2's feel noticeably quicker.
I love it. I like that it's not a shouty supercar. The F1 was hardly extreme looking, this just carries it forward. When you see them next to each other, it's amazing how many lines are similar on them.
Only buy a Trophy if you have ~£1k to maintain it over the next 12months (dampers+Belts). They might not need doing, but worth planning for the worst imo.
Or spend a bit more on one that's had those bits done.
I'm pretty definite on this. If you buy a meg over a frs, you're a spastic. It looks worse, the interiors worse, it's slower, it'll lose value like the titanic. And it's a Renault, so when the inevitable probs arise, Renault uk will treat you like a leper. With aids. And halitosis.
Not going to save a huge amount, and you have to factor in the service aspects (belts, clutch, mounts etc). Make sure any car you're thinking of has had them done, otherwise long term you'll save nowt.
Quick update. Had it looked at today by the bodyshop. After looking at it all, it's 50/50 wether it'll be a write off. If they can pull the dent out they'll repair the lot, if not it's a write off.
