I had a few early issues sorted under warranty (wiring loom, front suspension knocking) and have had two replacement throttle bodies.
Apart from that, from brand new to over 130k miles, the engine has never missed a beat, and yearly dyno runs show it building more power year on year. Even...
My cat's being refitted this week for its last MOT in my hands, so I'm having Mike/Dave leave it in place. The last 105k miles have been run with the decat so will be interesting to see if it feels stangled/less responsive.
First time tried I getting it away without the ESP on. Rubbish launch but seems to haul well enough once rolling.
Rolling road in January, see what it's got. Hoping to get this lump to 130k+ as well :approve:
Excuse the new camera, stability is excellent in-hand, but it struggles a bit on the...
Makes sense.
Next time out I'm removing my 172 Cup brain, and will start braking and entering at 200 speeds. The reason it looked so boring on the video was because I was approaching everything as though I was in the Cup i.e. far to slow for what the chassis can handle.
To add to the debate;
My 172 Cup is undoubtedly faster in a straight line and accelerates quicker when exiting a turn, but, I still reach the same peak speeds at the end of the straights in the 200.
Why's that?
Far more speed carried through and out of the turn. The 200 is so much more...
Yup. Can't figure out why people say they're not as much fun as the MkIIs. The MkIIIs move about just like them...you just have to go faster to make it happen.
First dry session in the 200, tip-toeing and feeling my way around.
Came up on a 350/370Z that was struggling with the lines, but booted it down the straight. I was doing OK until I hooked 4th
I cba registering...chances of entry refusal if I meet up with you lot and just turn up at the gates?
Goodwood is an open circuit 365 days a year so how would/could they refuse?
My commute helps massively with the decent fuel consumption.
Across 26 miles of country roads, I only have to brake for about 5 junctions in total, that's it. Most of the time is spent cruising along at a steady 50/60 mph so it barely uses anything fuel wise.
Been giving it a few squirts this...
A week in on mine and I'm head over heels.
Perfect on my commute. It's a comfy cruiser barge when I want it to be, and a limpet when I don't.
36mpg too. Must try harder.
This one was on the radar but was a trek to get to. After he dropped the price again last Monday I sent him a cheeky email and got a good response :approve:
No mods (apart from a foam panel filter replacement) are permitted, self imposed rule.
I LOLd when I read about your kids not being able to sleep ;)

When I got the Ignis last year I had a 12 mile commute, 1st and 2nd gear stuff, congested mainly, and for that along withe the occasional country blast it was fine.
Now the commute is all country roads, 26 miles and seven villages, that's it. The Ignis handled it well, but it bucked about like...
Still got the Cup, but am open to offers. Not really making any effort to get rid yet, but will do come the spring.
The Ignis wasn't cutting it as a daily anymore, and it pained me that the Cup sat there 3 weeks at a time sometimes without turning a wheel. Then two lots of insurance and tax...
First road impressions are; motorways are nice again, economy is fine, fat steering wheel feels lurvely, reach adjustment is worth it, why the f*** is there not a power outlet on the dash (or have I missed it?), gearchange and seating position are massively improved, electric PAS is fine.
First...
