Car should be fine with decat and then chip afterwards. Chip will be set up for your 1.8 I believe so 2litre will require ECU and new chip to match the 2litre to any mods.
Have a magnex which came with the car. Apparently old one rusted and previous owner though a stainless stell would be better.
Like the looks and the sound and have now just fitted teh magnex decat which looks like a cat rather than just being a straight through pipe.

BMC dont do the adaptor. You need to get one made to fit on the throttle body with oval or round nozzle in order for silicone hose to clamp on which then goes to the BMC.
Got mine fabricated and the place that did it may do it for you too...
De cat is fine on its own. Got a magnex one fitted which actually looks like a cat so will fool them at MOT unless emmisions are too high. Hoping ecotek will help with that.
Chip I got from BB and you are right they are 250, as are KTEC now. HP seems cheapest. But then I got cambelt done...

Been seriously contemplating a Willy eng to get gasflowing, cams, verniers, maybe pistons etc to try and get near 200bhp. Due to the cost involved may spend this money better on my 1.8 as the 600-800 plus VAT or 1200 all in for 40k Willy eng and brand new box could go a long way...
Been offered a brand new gearbox at a crazy price. From a breakers who also have a 40k Willy engine so may get both or just the box for future replacement when my 16v box dies.

Was talking about cambelt. If you mean fan belt round alternator (timing belt ?) this should have been checked/swapped when cambelt was done as it has to come off to do that.
Both BB and KTEC are about 150 quid, check their websites, less cliosport discount plus VAT. Hillpower is more expensive (what i got quoted anyway). Renault dearer still.

Renault Coventry is actually better than Renault Leamington Spa, who said my folks Megane Scenic did not have faulty brakes even though the rears were stuck on all the time. A visit to Coventry for the service put this right and they were replaced.

I would have got fully synth if they did it but doubt big places get much call for it. You should see the size of the barrels the stuff comes out of. The semi synth is a nice green colour which is probably a good indicator as the blacker it gets the older or dirtier it is (i guess).

Guessing cams, exhaust inc decat, manifold maybe, Sealed Ik like Viper of BMC, gas flowed head (ktec looks promising) and chip. Until someone tries that unsure what that lot would produce but bet it wouldnt be far off, depending on how good OE items are! And if people are doing new cams etc...
Or about 20 quid for buying the oil yourself, fiver for the filter, hassle of draining the old and pouring in the new. Major hassle in trying to actually remove/refit the filter if you have big hands.
£15 a bargain for this, would cost me nearly twice as much in money plus getting myself...
Yeah it seems everyone strives for a Willy but gets the 16v instead because of Insurance. I know I did. Then pay a fortune getting a Willy engine put in. The madness !!!
Would be handy if someone could get before/after bhp figures when fitting things on their motor as that way people would know what works. Especially as the RR results would be from the same RR on the same day so there would be little room for error.

I would have thought the advantages of such oils like magnatek where they protect the engine would be lost on higher milage vehicles as any wear would already have been caused. Maybe future wear would be minimised by using this now though?
