Well it's time for another little update! Ever since I've owned the AG I've never been happy with the condition of the speedlines. The inner barrels of the wheels were still satin black - the original wheel colour, and there were a couple of paint runs on the edges of the spokes. There were also...
It's when you come down craner curve flat out with the rear trying to overtake the front and some right hand opposite lock to correct it, then have to straighten it up for the old hairpin, have the back try and overtake the front (again) and apply some left hand opposite lock to straighten the...
I'd be buying the clutch kit from pms mate. It's cheaper than a Valeo failure and a gearbox rebuild. I never had an issue with the Valeo in mine though tbf, and that was seeing 8k rpm.
Well technically, his flywheel escaped because 519 Danny reused the flywheel bolts...........that are one use only stretch bolts............
What an utter whopper.
I had 450 fronts and 475 rears. The front needed upping to 500 and the rears dropping to 450/425. But that was all down to my own preference mate.
Start at 450's all round and go from there would be my advice.
Well I'd get a quote from renault Wolverhampton as well personally mate. They may be cheaper....
Coilovers ain't as bad as your mate is making them out to be buddy, trust me. You may just get a few knocks from them that's all.
Yeah it's on 20mm h&r spacers front and rear mate.
Lol! Yeah I know what you're saying! I've just had a full set of ds2500's from GeorgeRTR on here, not because I needed them, but because I'd decided I wanted them all round! 🙈
The pads that are fitted are still like brand new! Flol
Anything bilstein will give good handling and ride tbh mate. From what I've read, they're slightly harsher than the oem cup pack spring/damper combo, but nothing horrendous.
There's a few guys over on 197.net that run them, and @cliosport-carl runs them iirc?
Well I'd say that out of all the hubs we've done, there's about 70% that are showing signs of elongation around the ball joint pivot. This was why we spent a lot of time and resources to get it right. We've never had one fail either, other than in exceptional circumstances, and I'm talking a...
The pin will be your issue mate. They can elongate the hole in the hub using the standard bottom ball joint!! Also, cup racer bearings aren't cheap to buy either.
There's some Ast 5100's in the for sale section now @JKING3008 @AdamCup
The seller is @james alford.
There's also some 60mm spaced 4100's and the seller is @mattsouthall
Both of them are good guys.
@Naylor28 fair play for not biting to some of the replies you've had in here, but the quote I'm posting is by far the best and most helpful one you'll get.
Well in that case, I'd consider the rears at 100/110, and the fronts at 100. The rear end will be lively with 120's at the rear, even in the dry. Once you've generated some heat in the rear tyres it should be fine, but it's just having the confidence to build that heat.
@r0ss172 give this fella a call and have a chat with him. http://www.1stclassalloys.co.uk/
He does everything from high end to poverty spec cars, and his workmanship is 2nd to none. He only does powder coating, but if anyone can do the MR rims, he's your man.
