Has different suspension (the r26r). Smacks of marketing, remove the rear bench (weighing a few kg), the stereo (1kg), but leave air con in. How the hell does that make sense??
Regular occurence? Be surprised if he's driven the cars mentioned, the CTR's ride is rock solid. Good cars though, the interior feels so well put together, and plenty of room in the back.
Sorry, but you would have to be drunk on the test drive to think the CTR rides better than the 197. I'm no great fan of the 197 (check my previous posts), but the CTR has bar none, the stiffest ride of any car I've driven. To paraphrase someone, the seatbelts are there to stop you bouncing out...
How the f**k do all the scots post on here? Are they all huddled around scotlands only computer, a bbc b micro adapted to accept the internet via an adapted cassette player?
It's very different, pulls much harder than the old unit. They've done VW's trick, most are testing at 180-185bhp standard, then you've got the overboost pushing it to 200ish bhp.
Got a possible buyer for my Trophy, but the guys concerned by the emmisions warning light (caused by the decat). Can anyone confirm that the light is common with decats, and is purely due to emissions.
Cheers
Sports are lower, and the ride is busier. Pro's lower very slightly, but the ride is better and the handling is better. IMO, the standard 172 feels very wallowy floaty at high speed compared to a car on pro's.
Not likely. From experience, good car, great engine, but (especially with runflats) just too stiff across the front, lots of wheelspin and washes into understeer if your clumsy.
