The Maserati Quattroporte is, quite frankly, a gourmet slut – Nigella Lawson with the moral compass of Abi Titmuss.
Genius. Jimmy Carr should be on Top Gear every week.
Apex will lower a lot, but ride and handling go to s**t. Eibach sports won't lower as much, but ride is hardly different, better handling. Eibach's are progressive.
Fronts do most of the work, so doubt the ferodo's are the problem. More likely to be the fronts, I had brembo + DS2500 and they were fantastic. Not as good cold, but mine were better than the standard set-up when cold, and fantastic when warmed up.
That's my old 182. Colour was black on black. Perfect seat IMO. Comfy over a long journey, supportive on a track day, and a lower (better!) driving position than the Recaro's. (Lower Recaro's would be perfect)
I had cobra daytona's, then brakes (ds2500 fitted by Fred), then sportlines (again Fred!), then exhaust. Perfect for track work. Just waiting for some eibach pro's to go on the 172, then brakes before doing the ring in the summer.
1st day I did at bedford, some tool span a ferrari testarossa there, and ended up spinning the length of the pit straight and parked up at the end of pit lane ready to go! Spent the next couple of hours picking gravel out of all his vents.
