Cup rears work fine on lower spec, plug and play. I run them on my dci with sachs shocks up front and eibach sportline springs.

Yeah them tyres wont be helping. I reckon your rear shocks will be toast. Mine was terrible when the rear shocks were worn out.

Needs config looking at and changing to suit and checking no crash data stored. Dci extreme is pov spec so probably something to do with seats or similar at a guess. Easy fix with clip. What area are you in.

Picked this up the other day, Renault spark plug spanner set Ele.1382. Its pretty decent, made by Werkzeug. Set breakoff torque of 17.5nm on the red one and 28nm on the grey one with long plug sockets to fit the f4r etc. €676 new apparantly, I paid £40 for it off ebay.

Id bet its the upc in the engine bay.

Wouldnt class them as a track tyre just a summer tyre. I dont rate them personally

Had a few renewals come through for mine from Greenlight Kangoo - £350 (£50 up) Blue 225 £350 (£50 up Trophy £350 - same as last year. Not a massive increase. I reckon my clio dci's will see an increase as with elephant, policy is up in July.

Should handle loads better than the van, the wheelbase is fine no need for spacers. Crap tyres will be the understeer issues, get some michelins on. If the back end feels a bit nervous at speed on the twisties the rear shocks will prob need replacing, id prob renew them and id bet your handling...

To add to this i believe a stock clio3 aux belt works if your using stock clio3 crank pulley. To complicate things furthur im using a 172 crank pulley. I believe 6pk 1090 may be somewhere near.

Change the aux kit and inspect the belt. Its a tough one, i reckon it will run over a couple of years if garaged.

My 8 year old gates cambelt off my dci that had done around 40k looked ok when fitted could still almost see the writing. When inspecting it properly, deteriorating/well passed its best. Tensioner still appeared to be fine. i dont doubt they can run a couple of years longer if car is stored...

Assuming current exhaust is straight through with one silencer at that db? Might be worth considering a map tweak when adding the new system and cat as will be adding in a restriction, even if minor.

Before starting - Try turning ign on, off, then on again so fuel pump primes up and start. The fuel pressure reg goes weak in tank and causes starting issues but usually start ok after fuel pump primes.

Dephaser wont be causing low compression issues, i agree with your mechanic. Needs a leakdown test to confirm the cause of low comp.
