The colour would suit a sport well. I may do it to this one eventually will see ! Should really grab a full kit whilst they are ten a penny and get it in stock.
Id bet my bottom dollar most of the clio turbo conversions use the ching spec cast manifold, rebranded as theirs at a fair markup. Same with the turbos, i cant believe a lot of the low boost conversions use cheap no brand turbos. Just check the faces are true and linish as necessary, ive seen...
As a temp repair that will tidy it up, but without cutting the rust out fully and letting new clean metal in, i can pretty much guarantee that will be bubbling in 6 month. Been there and done that in my youth
As weather was still dry, went for a blast over to Whitby. No issues to report, just blasting along with the tape player blasting the oldskool out. Great little car, need to make more effort to get it out and used !
Thanks for reading !
Next stop mot station
Still looks clean underneath for a 28year old car, need to give the powdercoated bits a wipe down but apart from that no work required
Passed no issues at all, 25 miles since its last mot September 2017 !
Taxed straight after mot, weather had dried up too. Needed to give...
Washed the dust off before mot, BH auto foam, followed by 2 bucket wash, and dried.
Gtt looks so small compared to the rest of the cars !
Typically 5 mins after drying it pissed down, just before i was about to set off. Good beadage though. First time its been out in the rain in years.
Got up early today and started work on the gtt.
First job was to flush the coolant. It still looked nice and green but noticed a bit of sedament in header tank, flushed full system with hosepipe, rad and heater matrix thoroughly.
s**t that came out when back flushing !
Refilled with fresh...
The clio2 is an epic car for the money. Ive been using my orange dci daily and done 500 miles this week already, 64.4mpg its running on fresh air, handles good, goes well enough and not a bad place to be. Cant ask for any more really for a cheap motor !
Small update from last weekend, got given...
Gtt back together after turbo swap. Ready for mot tomorrow, 14 miles since its last mot in September 2017 ! Going to flush the coolant for fresh type d and change the oil tomorrow. The oil currently in it still looks golden but will still change it due to time off road.
That sweet sound of C1j...
Ive had tons of those emails demanding bitcoin as they know your password, stating some old password, and all that bollox. I read into it and its to do with a data leak in the past, ebay or whatever. I too could do with something to manage my passwords, as they are all over the shop now
Mega day at Croft on Monday in the Kangoo. In and out all day no issues, driving was a bit rusty in the morning as 8 month since last trackday but got the pedal down in the afternoon.
The Mintex M1177 pads were awesome, no fade and f**k loads of power, locked it up a couple of times late...
Mega busy day today so brief update. Started early, fitted bilet cam and vernier pulley/timing chain to Extra van engine
Next job was to change turbo on my gtt as leaking oil, absolute ballache as all oem brackets still fitted. Got new turbo on and tried to prime oil system and the fecking oil...
The flamer van looks awesome @MattRS182 id love to do a sport van but need the dci mpg.
Had a little chav chuck a bottle at the blue dci lastnight so its sporting a small dent in the drivers rear qtr now. By the time id seen the cctv he was long gone and he best count it as his lucky day i...
Definitely, cant wait to see what they are like. The pbs pads look quite glazed when removed after quite a bit of road driving, but can prob revive them with some 80grit. Im not expecting these m1177s to be great from cold, it will be a case of boshing stock pads or the pbs back in after Croft...
