as said above, they might waive the cost if you don't mind being tied into BT line rental for 18 months.
I moved house about 12 months ago & they the house had previously been disconnected & had virgin.
I was told it will cost £135 (ish) for a new connection. So i gave in & went ahead, only to...
Hi Mate,
Seeing as you have a TZ7, could you answer a few Qs about the video recording?..
Just wondering how straight forward it is to take from the camera onto a computer & onto a DVD, is it just a case of copying a file off the card & pasting onto the computer?
Does the video need...
It's cheaper on amazon (if you got time to buy online)
I'm looking at buying one too, heard good things about them. Seems to get rated pretty highly.
But also read online about problems with the screen cracking... not sure how much of a problem this really is though.
If you not bothered by the...
I've just dug this thread out having searched for this exact camera.
And from your pics it looks good!
I was thinking of getting an SD card Camcorder to replace an old miniDV camcorder.
But i also could do with replacing an aging 4mp camera.
On looking online & this thread i'm wondering...
mario kart my 2 year old is getting to grips with it now!... well driving in circles & wanting to see the cows on the moo moo meadows track! so your 4 year old you will do alright with that one.
Also Wii play has a load of small simple games that would probably be ok, like air hockey & a duck...
Hi All,
I'm just looking into getting a new iPod speaker dock & possibly a new ipod, but not sure what to go for.
At present i have an aging 20gb ipod (not even a colour screen on the thing! i think it's a 2G one) which sits in a small Dab radio ipod dock (essentially a bedside clock radio)
Now...
to get a 2nd controller, see if you can get 'wii Play' as it's a few simple kid friendly games on a disc & you get a controller included.. normally not alot more money than buying the controller on it's own.
just looked on amazon, it's £26 for the wiimote & £28 for wii play, so you get a load...
I'm the same.. altought not quite 39 ;) (not far off though)
I'm not and have never been much of a gamer, can't sit for hours playing the things.
But mario kart... love it, (i'm one for simple games, can't cope with more then 2 buttons!!)
Will be getting the new mario from the few comments on...
Good luck in the exam, i've done the ccent followed by ccna course, not yet had time to prepare & take the exam though.
Must get on the case at some point!!
Good luck!
Can you still save cash & upgrade cars in this version?, i'm sure i read that this is not included.. that was the best part of it.. adding turbos to crappy cars
Am thinking of getting a new iPod (either nano or touch) and will be wanting a speaker dock for it for use in the dining room. looking to spend around £100.
Anyone had any good experiences with these? heard a Klipsch (sp) is a good one.. but which one.
Also, seeing as the new nano's are out...

I have been tasked with finding the Mother-in-law a new TV, she wants a 32" lcd with freeview, she's not to fussed about the 1080p 100hz etc etc..
From what i've heard from a few people, the panasonic ones are pretty good at the moment so had a look around on the net & came up with dixons...
just saw on Hotdeals website, Argos have the D40 for £224.... plus you get a £10 voucher for spending over £100.
Any cheaper & i'm gonna have to buy one!
I did the CCENT (ICND1) online course, bought from Global Knowledge (US as uk didn't do ccent back last year)
Work paid for the course, i think it was around £900, for that you get an online login which has all the course material, in the form of slides with audio, video & also get a certain...
you could 'remote desktop' from your laptop onto your PC? providing they are both networked.
if not networked, maybe a crossover cable between both network cards on machines then remote desktop? (if they both have NICs)
we use MOM on our servers which has always been fine. & just setting up CiscoWorks for the network.
Also have BTI room monitoring in our main server rooms, you can buy whatever sensors you need, we got door sensors, AC sensors so get alerts for those kinds of things.
I've done the ICND1 & 2 courses through work, but i already work as network admin.
You're right about it being alot to take in, but then i did the ICND1 as online learning (did over 5 days) then the ICND2 5 day classroom based.
I'd been working with cisco kit for about 6 months before doing this...
Just took my little lad for a swim this morning & spotted a silver 172 with Turinis in the carpark..
