Odd!
I was going to suggest the windscreen, until you said you had it replaced! Only thing I can think of is to get the headlining down, and have a ganders, poss get somebody to hose it over while you sit inside, hopefully able to find the leak.
Keep this thread up to date as it sounds like a...
Bonnet pin switch.
If you're missing the switch, don't worry about it. If you have the switch, plug it back in. Its missing or unplugged on so many of them!
Also, has anybody locally got one of these? Its the seat bolt blank from underneath, I only need one?
Or if somebody wants to post me one for very little? :P
Update following the last few days....
First up, bought all the pipework to finish plumbing up my intercooler at last.
So fucked off the old 80 intercooler, and the factory rad fan, as its massive and I've always hated it.
I then failed to get any pictures, but its all nice silicone now...
More likely to be the clip on that fuel pump. Couple of mates have had issues with it popping off, on completely standard cars. Solved with a cable tie.
Doing the whole lot (cambelt, subframe etc) is a good idea, most time effective too.
Want me to have a quick look at some point soon buddy? Could well be the outer balljoint shagged, or wishbone bushes as Fred said. Both things that popped into my head apon first post.
TBH, I've never done it on a 1.2. I'm surprised the config option is greyed out (I get what you meant in your PM now).
Switch is deffo good isnt it? (thinking perhaps the cruise control side of the switch isn't working?)
Shame you're not closer.
So, I contiuned the above...
I hadn't removed any of the rod side of the big end bearings, until today...
First one I removed was number 1
Then I removed number 2
That'll be the cause of my knock then.
Started pissing it down while I was putting it together too
Got it all back together...
Did you try and loosen the exhaust stud nut before removing the belt? I hope so.
With the cambelt still fitted, along with the pully locking tool, its normally enough to get it loose, I've had to use an airgun on one once, with wobble joints etc. You really need to avoid turning the camshaft...
Every car I've bought, I've found somehting. From fake fingernails, spanners, money (£20 stuffed down the side of the centre console in one car), weed, bad CD's.
Often finding stuff in Customers cars, found an umbrella hidden completely, customer had owned the car for a year without finding it...
You're capable of swapping engines, you're capable of changing a crank seal, at least its the easier one of the two!
Mapping is still the pain I admit.
I know I know.
Probs will be winter due to the fact bikes are so much cheaper in winter.
I've nearly killed myself on one, memory is still vivid over a year later, as is the bump on my shoulder from the broken collarbone, but I still wanna do it again.
Car or bike?
Bike wise I'd buy a CBR600 F-Sport, or a SV1000. Experianced both, loved the high revving of the 600, but also loved the low down torque and ease of riding the SV.
We'll see.
Re: dmallett's indecisive clio thread! Monaco ph2 pg1+, Titanium ph1 pg31+, PB ph1 pg
You can buy .5 shims, that'd be sweet.
Contact cleaner is the ideal stuff. OR I'll pop over when I have time.
