Youre not imagining it Roy. Ask anyone whos done a track day which is quicker and im sure they will all tell you with it switched off. Acceleration out of corners is much better with it switched off.
Even on a damp and slippery airfield with very bald tyres where the car was understeering all...
:o (hides locking wheel nut keys)
Andy, I use Turtle Wax Wet n Black in the liquid spray. Its the best of the ones ive used. As long as you leave it to dry then wipe off the excess on the weels, it doesnt run off either. It does leave stains on the driveway though.
I found the gel...
Just fitted the wheels I got yesterday. 16" OZ F1s (Renault versions).
Going to get them refurbed soon as they have some kerbing, but a bit of a bargain none the less :D

Thanks, like i needed making feel any older as I approach the grand old age of 25...
Andy raises the average though, hes nearly as old as the rest of us added together. ;)
To summarise: Use 95 and youll be retarded. ;) (the ignition that is)
I use 95 every now and again and i can always notice a difference. The car does not run as smooth, and i get better MPG on Optimax no doubt about it, probably due more to the fact im easier on the throttle as it pics up...
And a few more.....
