Got one on the valver - came with the car - I was going to fit something different but its a very unusual sound so Im keeping it for now! Quite subtle at idle (but you know its there) and nice and throaty on full throttle - doesnt boom at 4k either which is nice!
love my Valver I do.
Not had a thing go worng with it and ive just hit 80k - I got the timing belt done myself so I know its defo been done.
Only slight annoyance is what sounds like a fan belt slipping at the moment - I though valvers didnt have fan belts?!
Well I dont have a dealer round here anymore so its the arse factor of going out of town to ask them face to face or to ring them up and ask them.
Judging by the last time I chatted to Renault on the phone Id struggle to get through to them what a gear know actually was!
I really considered getting a posh Momo one - even hadf it on the counter ready but I really really really want to get a new spanking standard one.
Id like to keep it standard as possible... ;)
My valver gearbox is clunky I must admit when its cold - fine after it warms up.
Quick question - how long do they usually last? When should I expect it to go pop?
I ALWAYS avoid parking next to other Clios ESPECIALLY if they have trim missing - I had one of the back parts nicked the DAY! I got the car - but the trouble is its the lower spec Clio owners who nick em, then find out they dont fit!
All Clios should come with a spare set ;)
If you liked the VTS then get the rrrrrraaapido version the VTR ;)
Strangley a lower insurance group too!
ahem...
Id have to agree on the Cup but thats the Renault + Clio bias I have talking :D
yeh its different on phase 2 i noticed that when I got the valver! have to turn right now doh!
Hijack: How much are new uns? and is it me or do they not fit flush as mine seems to stick out a bit!
I pasted my mums RT for 3 years - I mean seriously abused it - still starts everyday and the only problem its ever had is a bit of rust on the drivers side arch (sort it momma!) and a dicky window. Hardest 30k its probably ever seen as it was owned by an old bloke before the oldies got it.
Id...
Just buy another car with one already on like I did (didnt know at the time till I got on the dual carriageway lol) - cheapest and best way of doing it!
Yeh with abs it feels like its falling to bits under your foot.
***Update on mine*** - Its currently decided to fix itself over the last 3 days its been working fine - Result!
Surely that means it has to be faulty electrics somewhere as if it was a knackered sensor it wouldnt be working all...
