Multimeter is the easiest way. A device that will test each fuse in situ. Or removing the fuse and seeing if the internal wire is broke or visible signs it looks blown. And your not being daft mate, I struggled at sixth form, your in uni :)

That's for dynamite that doesn't stick to the tanks, have to get close and throw and detonate. Other than that, anti tank gun with the assault class and anti tank grenades work ok. Have you got a spare key? Does that work? The ignition barrel and key talk to each other, not literally as that would be weird.

Do these have an immobiliser ring on the barrel.

Won't be the cover. Try what Steve suggests. I've had this before and was the alternator wire. Decided to pack up on the way back from a track day in the rain in the winter with four people in the car. And on a motorway. That was a joy :/

Most swap the inlet for a rubber one as it looks better and is a little less restrictive. Minimal.
