That's pretty much what I'm after too. From what is plain to read is that if you get it corner weighted for me it becomes useless if you have a passenger which I allways do, bar when I'm out for a run on my own at weekends etc.

I kind of agree but I've used road tyres before and they were fine afterwards. My re050's hardly look used, albeit I only used them for maybe 10-15 laps. On reflection I should have just put my 15's on to begin with. Not sure if the op has been on track/at Oulton before?

I wouldnt be concerned with a cage Lee. Dip your toe in the water so to speak and see if you enjoy it first. With regards getting a second clio but dont have unlimited funds etc, makes more financial sense to do a couple of bits to yours and see how it goes.
