Yeah, I can see where the OP is coming from with this.
I could spend similar amounts on getting my 182 pristine again. But I wouldn't want to spend £4k+ on a just 'another' 182.
It's been in daily use with me for over a quarter of my life. Logic and reason in spending on it can sometimes go...
You've made the one and only change I'd make to that car - the addition of mud-flaps. Apart from being functional, they look the part too.
Maybe being super-fussy here about the ad - perhaps change 'Shell Optimax' to 'Shell V-Power'?
Got to agree. Mine fired up first time every time - settled to a nice, steady idle in no time and despite my regular checks - never used a drop of oil.
Cracking units.
It did concern me a little when I had mine - especially when a meat-head asked me if the Evo was for sale at a petrol station when I'd not even had it 24 hours.
Touch wood - it never attracted any bellendness in the 2.5 years that I had it. I'd like to think that the scroats of today simply...
My bad - I did put the wrong picture up. It should have been the graveyard of knackered parts behind Ogier's trailer with the WRC 1 bumper at the front. Still, even R5 bumpers at £7k aren't exactly pennies!
Apparently such parts are classed as 'expendable'. Not on par with the insanity...
Couple of Mikkelsen and co-driver rotating the tires.....
Briefly chatted to the bloke who owned the GT3 RS, who was following Mikkelsen down the hill too. Stunning colour of Porsche - especially with the yellow calipers. Even with the mud and crap all over it, the photo really doesn't do...
...Instead, we backpedalled up the route and found a random lay-by to watch the rally cars traverse between the stages. Even though they weren't a full chat, they were still impressive to see and hear.
The 182 was really well suited to these north Wales roads.
Plenty of non-WRC 1 or...
Managed to get a couple of passes into the M-Sport section at Deeside over the weekend - mainly to support my nephew in WRC2 (Gus Greensmith) and to get some idea of what goes on behind the scenes.
Inside the hospitality place...
Ogier's service bay...
Much effort needed to transplant...
Clearly part of the reason why values of decent ones are just going up and up.
I wonder why all that ‘edge’ and focus from the Jap manufacturers of the 90s and early 2000s simply died off?
FFS - lol, have they not done anything with that? It's fine when there's the occasional ammo pack, but if its anything like the previous game, you find rooms littered with the stuff.
Running around aimlessly and pressing an action button to the background chimes of 'Dur. Dur. Dur' as you...
Downloaded it today - but haven't tried it yet.
Tbf @charltjr - I don't even know why they offer a DVD version when that only contains about one-tenth of the games' content? I've seen a few like that - it doesn't seem to offer any benefits for anyone?
Even if they sold it in mainstream shops -...
Ah - good stuff.
Great colour that as well. Not a common choice for Evos of that vintage left on the roads.
There’s a silver V near me at home. Left under a tree and full of leaves, bird s**t and all other crap. Would love to save the thing and have the money to get it back on the road....
Sorry for the late response @Geddes - I was away in Scotland on Thursday & Friday and then at the Welsh Rally over the weekend.
BF2142 won't come up on Steam as it's an EA/Origin title. It is still there to obtain on that, if you want to get it though? I'm not sure there will be many (if any?)...
Great response - cheers! Of the ones I’ve seen on the road - the vast majority appear nice and squat - the wheels filling the arches nicely and not going too much on the lowz....
Do owners tend to leave the suspension stock for the most part - or update it as a priority?
The comment about...
Thanks for that. Why is this one part of the Clios so vague in terms of manufacturers, part numbers and pricing?
I would have thought an RS steering rack is exactly that - something identical across all Mk2 Clios - be they phase 1 or 2.
I’d consider the EPAS conversion more perhaps, if I used...
I think I might just bite the bullet and get an aftermarket replacement rack. KTEC are quoting £255+VAT and while that's not particularly cheap - it's a hell of a sight cheaper than the ultra-elusive Renault branded item.
If the rack wasn't so labour intensive to get to and replace - I think...
Welcome aboard!
Love the FRS's. I would personally go for this model due to the looks and the combination of the brilliant exhaust note.
Straight out of the box - are there any weak points on them? I'm assuming they will have a healthy appetite for front tyres and of course fuel. But for daily...
Cheers mate.
A new rack (assuming I could even get hold of one!) comes out at £676. I'd rather fancy my chances on a couple of bolts being replaced first!
