There is a motor in the column that fails. We had an o4 Clio 1.2 thing in the other week with the exact same problem. Replaced the unit with a good second hand one, cleared codes with a decent scanner (snap on) and jobs a gud un.

Thought I'd bump the thread. Was after some crystal fogs, fitted them and thought, mmm. So off they went and put the fog covers back on. Before, after, changed the side indicators to black, keep swapping them over depending how gangsta I'm feeling.
