    Anyone handy with a welder?

Realistically, that will be the way it goes I reckon. D.

    Anyone handy with a welder?

Exactly - lol! Must be great getting a buzz from building a car from the chassis up. But imagine actually welding it together in the first place? A proper achievement.... D.

Steam Stats - Cost per hour breakdown

Doesn't this include loads of 'free to play' games as being unplayed too? I remember looking at something similar a while back and the games I had 'unplayed' was ridiculous - far more than I own! D.

Does look great that, m8. Though you need to improve on your soap suds cleaning technique..... ;) D.

Got Sleeping Dogs last night myself, too. Anyone else have that weird glitch right at the start when you're running after Naz or whatever his name is? Jumping over boxes, sliding over counters, etc - no problem. Then after climbing a cupboard, this Naz guy just stops. You stay near him and get...

Lol. I remember a similar bit from the first game iirc, where you walked along a gantry, turned around to climb down some ladders and she was stood right there facing you. Proper made me jump that part! :P D.

aux belt broke and hit cam belt after new alternator. Now what?

Aside from shafting me up the arse with the final bill and leaving off all of the arch liner screws from the front bumper - I'll give Renault Bury that - they did strongly suggest that I get the full aux belt kit changed at the same time. As I had a horrendous rubber burning smell from the...

When will I learn - lol. I bought Wargame - European Escalation when it was released and thought it was shat. Why then, did I buy the follow-up Airland Battle?? I have it in my head that it will be a glorified C&C with authentic units - but it's nothing of the sort. The tutorial (a bit like on...

182 failed MOT - Offside Front Spring

I'd bite the bullet and get the full set swapped out. The fronts are more fiddly to swap out that the rears - but still nothing too difficult. D.

Bought the Shades of Darkness expansion for HOMM6 as I really like the series. Supposedly stupidly difficult campaign, but hey-ho. Just got Doom BFG Edition for £4.99. Still no idea (or real care) what the Steam trading cards are for.... ;) D.

For the 5 people on planet Earth that missed Half-Life 2 the first time around, it's on for £1.74 at the minute. Get it bought - especially as it will run on anything more advanced than a Casio calculator these days. D.

    The next iPhone/iPad; speculation thread.

Re: The iPhone 5S/6 thread... Good man. The iPhones are far from flawless, but it's the only phone I've switched to after 12 years with Nokias. I get a LOT of models and variants passing my way through work and imo, the iOS and the way the phone simply operates, is far more intuitive and far...

    The next iPhone/iPad; speculation thread.

Re: The iPhone 5S/6 thread... To be honest - hardly anything. I had my 3GS almost from launch and that lasted me 4 years. Only got the 5 the other month - so there's no way I'll be upgrading until at least iPhone 7 at the earliest. Just compare the 4S and the 5 now - you have to be a real anal...

Loud pop, auxiliary belt partly shredded... HELP

Not that it helps in this situation, but I got the auxiliary belt replaced when I got the alternator swapped out. Just not worth the risk imo. I'd get the full aux. belt kit swapped out - not just the belt itself. No real idea what damage could have been caused in there. Hope you get it sorted...

    Xbox 360 Free Games Thread

Defence Grid is epic - played it loads on the PC. You're missing out if you can download it from free! :) That said (and I'm not just saying this from the PC perspective) - but it really helps if you have a mouse with this. I can imagine it would get a little frustrating with the pad. D.

    Gurston Down Speed Hillclimb

No. 6 is definitely my favourite as it includes so many aspects of the day. Great shot of part of the track, giving you some idea of the elevation and surface involved. The Porker shows a good scale aspect then the family line-up in the foreground. Ticks a lot of boxes! D.

Anyone have their own fax to email service?

We use GFI Faxmaker with a 100 user license as we're massive fax users. Works a treat. The biggest cost you'll see if you setup your own fax server is the ludicrous costings of the faxboards. Our Dialogic PCI 2-port ISDN card was circa £4k, but you might be able to get a cheaper option given...

The Power PC Thread [f*ck off consoles]

Noticed those yesterday m8. They are still beta though, aren't they? Only had one BSOD is literally yonks - the first day CoH2 was installed. But as that's been patched already and I've had a reformat since, everything has been fine. D.

[PC] - Company of Heroes 2

Reformatted my PC on Friday night, only to realise that Steam doesn't record your campaign progress - doh! Such an epic feature of Steam when games support it - I wish more did. Trying to get a co-op game going with two of my mates. I'll be honest so far - it's NOT as good as the original...

    Clio V6 Front End Restoration

Excellent pics gally. Just shows you what's really involved when you get a decent repair done. The only criticism I can make is that you're too far north. The bodyshop I used to use has now closed - so when are you selfish sods moving down south? ;) D.

Elite sequel - Elite : Dangerous

Re: Elite sequel Looks like they've come a long way with this. Chatting to Cookie yesterday and he forwarded the link below.... http://elite.frontier.co.uk/ Potentially a life-destroyer, this. I remember so many conversations in the school-yard about games of Elite. I never knew anyone who...

    Back To 16's

I misread the thread initially, and thought you'd switched to putting those 15"s on! Thank go it was the other way around - lol! I actually preferred the ride in the 182 when I borrowed a 15" set of Speedlines - so much so that I was really tempted to swap full time. That said, they had track...

new to clipsport with a 172 cup

Flaps look good - just not in the 'look at me blue' :) Always dismays me when having spent hours cleaning the BG182 - the worst paint damage is always around the section behind the front wheels. I applaud manufacturers that fit little protectors to the cills and rear edge of the wheel arch...
