I hate wireless - end of. Pissing about with battery charges, etc. Plus you can get oddball situations like my m8's scroll wheel on his wireless mouse - clicking away through the speakers. :( For the tiny benefit of wireless, I'd rather just stick with a cable tbh.

I've thought that too. But unfortunately a job as a Mitsubishi Evo test driver with Rachel Weisz as my 'personal' secretary, seems quite difficult to come by.

We used Symantec Ghost just this week to start imaging 12 new PCs. No issues there however as the dozen PCs are identical.
I did use Acronis years ago, but didn't really spend much time with it. From the bits I did see, it seemed a pretty decent product tbh.

Ah, you merely think you are. :)
I got my first PC in November 1992 and by December 1992, I had broke it. The thought of reformatting it filled me with the same statistical odds as conducting brain surgery with a chainsaw. Blind-folded.
By pure fluke, reading the instructions carefully, or a...
Failing that - never be too scared to do a reformat. Most non-PC people would be amazed at how simple a procedure that is, once they've done it a couple of times.

That's what made it brilliant for me. The fact that on these very large maps, many battles were going on - not just your group of four versus another four or so. It gave you a much better 'scale' of online battles imo. The only issue for me was that the server admins often used to leave the...
I never really had the broadband speed to cope with 64-player maps of BF2142. But on the very rare occassion I did, those maps and games were simply sublime. Many a time it melted down to four 16-player sub-battles going on, with the commander overseeing everything and deploying resources as...
Like I said before, console owners should have the opportunity to play Battlefield just as well as the PC owners do. But I'll get pissed if it gets out that features in the game are dropped to cater solely for the consoles.
It's like having a RS Clio and then being told you can't have the...
SpeedUpMyPC and ANYTHING else of similar ilk should be avoided like the plague. They are all utter bollox. Written by people whom I would never, ever tire of punching repeatedly in the face for shafting over unfortunate PC users who know no different.
Horrid, pop-up riddled, service denying...
What I liked about the first game was the simple 'get out there and drive' appeal to it. It's the first driving game I've ever played that I just drove in for the sake of it. Many times I didn't compete in races etc, and simply drove about.
If the 2nd game is similar, I might buy it actually.

Probably. But they will have to provide for the hardware limitations and gamepad inputs of the consoles too. Back in the days of BF2142, they never had to consider that.
That said, I'm far from saying that console owners should be deprived of the next Battlefield installment. What I do have a...
Yep, they've appear to have dropped the ball in recent years. It will be a shame if they do go under tbh - or simply a footnote brand to some MSoft phone division.
