Couple of things. Neck and neck with a type r i dont doubt. After the map and letting him catch up i do doubt lol. Yeah i know i have a civic etc but ive had two clios, one rs tuned and the second with the rs tuner, my civic would beat both imo. Now dont get me wrong i love the clio's and the rs...
No massive update. Replaced the front discs and pads with rc5+ pads and oem discs, oh and a brake stopper. Massive and I mean massive difference. One step closer to sorting the car for a trackday. Lines and fluid replacement tomo :)
Both cars are great. I'd probably have another Clio but if I was to change mine it would have to be old skool like a 205 or something. Prob not that much quicker just more fun
Does it drive smoother, better etc? I would and have previously gone down the rs tuner map route, quite a big difference in cost. Like you say unless doing bigger stuff youre not going to notice a (warrant the cost change imo).
Pm george to get the discs, they are dearer as they have the abs ring in them, sorry fail on my part ref the cost. Pads, just get cheap ones. Are you sure they need doing as you know what garages are like :(
Mine's quicker than the last two clio's ive had, not just saying that as its my current car. Ive driven a couple of type r's and for some reason mines feels better :)
