My first spot of the elusive 182 colour! Caught it at a good time too - in some decent sunshine on the opposite side of the motorway.
Looked mint - really, really good. Wished I'd ordered mine with it now.....

Page 16, paragraph 5 of the Renault Clio V6 Owners Guide states....
".....your car has a fat ass now. It is perfectly legal to acquire two parking spaces for its large derriere. You pay more tax for the privalege, so why the hell not?"
......or something to that effect. ;)

You're the first person I've heard that actually likes the Dale Wintons. They look so crap and cheap on any car - let alone a Clio.
Good effort with the car so far, but as others, I have a healthy bit of Ph.1 Luv going on for your older car. Makes perfect sense why you sold it from the reasons...
Hope you get it back ok, Lee?
Though I agree with you, I don't think I'd want it back. Hopefully the s**t-for-brains driver doesn't realise the lack of ABS, looses control and hits a tree before bursting into flames.
One can only hope that they are trapped alive at the time and not simply...
Oh yeah - I still intend to! Just biding my time..... :)
I've spotted that a few times now - both at Pilsworth Asda (me stalking again, I guess ;) )

If I HAD to go down the VAG route, I'd be looking at the S3 or R32, I think? Of the 225 TT and the new S3 I drove, both would have battered my 182 in terms of outline speed and were built like tanks.
I took both on my favourite local A-road and both cars handled it well and both cars clearly...
Different people want different things, I guess.
Personally, and I'm being very serious here - if a well looked after TT and new 197 Cup were up for sale at the same price in front of me - the Clio would be my choice straight away.
The TT is an excuse in accessorising. Nobody needs a TT to a...
Quality thread - must qualify for the "Post of The Week"? :)
Anyone who can see past the marketing bollox of VW/Audi and ditch one of its products in favour of a quick-ish Clio, definitely gets my thumbs-up.
Well done. A LOT of people would be scared or embarrassed to do the same.
Good...
I only get between 1MB and 1.5MB as our house is a knat's todger from the limit of the exchange.
You young 'uns should count yourself lucky you can even get double figures! :rasp:

Chaps,
Can anyone remember the link to the thread that had the images of that black Clio after it had been PC'd? There was a great shot of the before/after effects of the front wing being PC'd, iirc.
Cheers,

Not yet Dink. Good idea though. I've looked in both the manual and user forums and it doesn't say anything about 'reserved' ports though. I'll probably give that a try.
Dave - that was the real reason behind me going down the SATA optical drive route. I wanted to disable all the IDE settings...
First one at the lights around the corner from the fire station this morning...
...the other was on the southbound section of M60 just north of Oldham. Had its xenons on too.

In order to have two drives in RAID0 and an optical SATA drive plugged in at the same time - do all three devices have to be on specific ports?
I've got 6 SATA ports on my mobo, but with the large size of the twin 7900GTX gfx cards, I've simply connected the drives to the most easily...
Welcome to the world of owning a black Clio....
They look mint when buffed and cleaned properly (check out some of Rich's posts) but get marred and scratched by the downdraft of that fly passing 60ft away. :dapprove:
Crap paint.

Now those stripes, I do like. :D
If I were to be ultra picky - I'd say they 'may' look better a darker shade of grey/silver. But they do look great as they are.

....heading down this morning, I was overtaken by a blonde in a '52 black 172 with a 182-style twin pipe exhaust.
Then coming back up from Nottingham this afternoon, I spotted a Mars red V6 on the opposite of the M1 - around junction 38.
Anyone?

Cheers chaps. She does look good when clean.
The centre-caps are in a bag in the attic - lol! I left them off after the EBC stuff went on and have never put them back. Looks far too 'staid' with them back on, imo.
A testiment to your paint-work, m8! :D It has been well over a year...
Well, I meant to be cleaning the inside of the 182 today as it was certainly in the need of a good hoover-out.
Anyways, I thought 'stuff it' and decided to give it a wash as well, despite it having one only a few days before (sad get).
So began another round of black gold yin & yang, chalk...
