Griff - good point, m8. We do have a DECT phone in the house - I'll try unplugging it from the master socket and leaving Sky connected - see if that makes any difference. Certainly worth a shot!
Jon, I did think that as well. We have had some strong winds in the past few weeks, so I thought...
Sky Two doesn't work, but Sky One does. Loads from Discovery, like 520, 521, 522, etc don't work either. We also get weird situations when the standard channel works, but the +1 channel of the same name, doesn't?

I know how to switch on my digibox...... pick a channel and that's about it.
What I want to know is whether or not a standard digibox (not Sky+ or HD or anything) is the same - regardless of who the manufacturer is? Our Thomson unit is going ape and regularly says "No satellite signal is being...

...... clearly, Microsoft is talking out of its own ring-piece.
Ultimate? Only recommending 1GB? Is that before or after the HDD's had gone into meltdown with the pagefile? They are busy enough as it is...
Aye - I've been hearing a lot about those GTS's being fast little feckers. Heard some really glowing reports about the ATi 3870 cards too. Good to see that ATi & nVidia are still battling away - it can only help us, the end user, ultimately...:)

Good specs there Roy - liking the mobo choice!
Make sure you post up some benchies just in stock trim - before you OC it. Would be interesting to see what that kit pumps out in standard trim.

Don't cut corners on the mobo, Dave. One of the core things I will happily pump money into with every system build. The amount of times when I've been impressed with a motherboard maybe 12+ months down the line, because it supports I feature that I initially didn't need!
Add a bit more wedge...
Liam,
I've been using XnView for years, m8. It's a free download and I use the Batch Convert option quite a lot when I upload pics. It allows you to choose a size as well.
Certainly recommended.....

I threw out my old 3Dfx card just after Christmas during a tidy-out. An Orchid Righteous 3D - cost me fecking £245 back in '97 as well!
The best add-on card I ever bought was a Gravis Ultrasound when I was in Seattle. Totally pissed on the SoundBlaster 16ASP I had at the time. :)

I really need to see one in the flesh for me to like the looks of it more. All the promo shots I've seen of it (including the one on this review) look sh1t, imo. Like some rounded Korean fart-box motor.
.....and I'm Mr. White Car + Black Alloys = Heaven..... <--- ;)

I seriously think that the levels of choice these days, dictate the main driving force behind piracy.
Think about it. Few people would pay, I don't know, say £60 on a box set of Lost DVDs - but if their mate said I'll rip you a copy on six DVD-Rs for a fiver (or even free?) - then they'll have...
