Aye - you need them as the finishing touch! D.

Ruined Black Clio - Barry Boy Style

First off - the Clio looks sh1t. No excuses. As for the comment above Gav, it sounds identical to a bloke I used to pass on the M66 every morning. Over the years, he'd have several cars - all with shopping trolley lists down the side, totally over the top add-ons, Lexarse lights and would...

God Damn Alan costing me money ;)

Its definitely worth it, John. Even just as an occasional polish with the SFX polish pad and some AG SRP. The results of that alone are very noticable - if all you have done is wash and dried your car over the past few months. Get an iPod plugged in your ears and the whole process is quite...

    lots of pics :)

You're right there Craig. Washed mine this morning before work and left it in the new car park facing work - all on its little ownsome as people can't be arsed walking across the road! Anyway's when the sun did come out, it looked amazing from my window. Still clearly gleaming from the PC...

    Is Anni's an '05 plater? D.

    lots of pics :)

Great pics Gaz! At first glance, I thought the fifth picture down had some stripage going-on on the boot. I've often thought a gun-metal grey stripe set would look good on black gold. Look great lowered - such a shame Reno didn't lower the standard suspension setup a bit further. Couldn't...

    the liquid valeted!

Looks immaculate - like a lemon cheescakey colour. Mmmmmmm....... lemon cheesecake......:approve: Have you tried taking a bite out of it yet? ;) D.

    My Punto GT

That's good news though, surely Gaz? At least the new owner is looking after it? I haven't seen mine since I sold it - would really like to know how it's been treated! D.

    My Punto GT

Helllllllloooooo! I'm here! :clown: Fecking awesome cars. Not sure it's a true classic, but its not damn far off. Loved mine until the very day I sold it and has many hooligan tendancies that the 182 is simply not able to replicate. With a decent suspension change, small but useful power...

And the Vee is insured! Woohoo!!

Very good quote that - you must be well chuffed! I had similar figures given to me by insurers for my 182 when I was 30! D.

Pics of my new Williams 1!!! (56k book a holiday)

Looks superb! Nice and unmolested too - though I take it that that isn't an OEM exhaust on it? The only mod I'd make would be to switch the side repeaters to clear - simply because I hate the look of the Tango-orange plastic. But that's just me.... ;) D.

    '51 plate silver 172 - Whitebirk, Blackburn

Approx 4pm this afternoon - boot & back seats full of stuff from the looks of it and the car sounded well, when booted! Anyone off here? D.

This is how hard it is to be spotted :(

Nope - one of the director's popped in and asked if we wanted a curry at dinner. It would be rude not to - it is FBF (Fat Bast*rd Friday) after all. D.

new member asking a question on 182

Yep - they all do it! Feels like a right bag of spanners from cold. I have noticed however, that higher octane petrol like V-Power makes it idle much more smoothly. Probably adds about 0.2bhp as well.... ;) It's also common for them to pull slightly to the left as well - even after a...

I'm such a boob. Look what I did last night

Ouch! Unlucky! I did the same in my dad's Mondeo. Had been driving in and out the same driveway for years. Borrowed it one day and came back......CRUNCH - scuffed all the driver's-side front bumper on the drive post. I actually think I was more p1ssed off with myself than my dad being...

clio v6rep spotted at oldham hospital (pic)

I will point and laugh if I see that on my next visit to Oldham. No need. No need at all. It's pointless, looks sh1t, and doesn't convince anybody with half an interest in cars that its a V6. Just look at the exhaust fittings, ffs? Hmmm - nice blanked-off circular holes there....:dead: D.

    Gearbox oil?

Well I've changed the engine oil on mine every 6k - seems a shame to neglect the 'box to a fresh can of the black stuff. Even more so if it's as easy as what Ben says! D.

    CV Boots

Mine did this the other week. First I knew of it was grease flicked all over the alloy... :( The clip that holds the boot on is a crap design too. D.

    Gearbox oil?

Is it worth changing every couple of years? Is it worth doing at a service interval - say the 36k one? Is it a sod to change in the first place? :) D.

I need a decent Laptop for University

I would look at Mac's, going off your requirements above. If you want to stick with PC laptops, I personally prefer HP ones. They seem a good balance of performance against cost. D.
