Hehehehe! You mean to say you didn't partake in Quicksilver ownership, James?! D.

Yep Colin - cheers for off-loading that to us. :rasp: Just short of 500 miles this weekend to the audio backdrop of BRRRRRRRRRRNNNNNNNNNNNNN left my ears ringing for ages when we got back! What's worse, it gets louder the warmer the engine and exhaust gets! Still sounds great though...

    nVidia ActiveArmor firewall

Does anyone here use it? Currently disabled on my PC at home, but just wondered if anyone has recommendations for it? Cheers, D.

    v6

Two totally different cars, imo. The 182 is a lot more chuckable than a Vee. The 182 will get you out of the brown-stuff if you've done something daft (unless you really screw up!) that would otherwise take a brilliant driver to recover in a Vee. The Vee however, just has SO much...

197...Just not as good as a Trophy.

Looking forward to reading this month's Evo - mainly to read up on the VXR. Pretty much ignored the idea of getting one (as the pricing it too close to an R26) but I'm intrigued, nonetheless. The one I saw at Brands Hatch looked very weedy on the standard 16s. The 18" option would be essential...

hi im new and thought i would post up my car

Good to hear that the scoop has been ditched - unless you're running a top-mounted intercooler under there? ;) Welcome to CS as well! D.

    Brands Hatch Pics

LOL - it just shows you the difference that decent equipment and someone with skill can do - compared to my tiny camera and zero skill! :) Pics look great! D.

Late afternoon blat - Glossop way

^^^^^ - LOL! :) I grew up with Ste as he lived across the road from me..... so I guess that's a bit different! Ste - you'll have to get some piccies up with the before/after shots of the side repeaters. See if it looks better! D.

Late afternoon blat - Glossop way

Cheers m8 - I was really chuffed with them after Middo worked his magic on them! :approve: D.

Late afternoon blat - Glossop way

Met Ste on the way back from Leeds. His Ph.1 172 has had major heart surgery today (new cambelt) - so we decided to go for a quick blat over the hills, towards home. A couple of blatant (and cheesey!) shots... D.

Couple of Clio Cup racer pics from Brands today

LOL - where we parked up, there were three illiad blue V6's, pretty much in a row. Common as bloody muck, they are! ;) D.

    hi all new here

I'm no mechanical genius, but 200 brake is definitely achievable on the 182s. From what I've read, it's very reliable and stable too - so long as you get the work done right! Check out threads from yozzasport, GDi, AngelWorks, etc to see what's been done - to name but a few! D.

Couple of Clio Cup racer pics from Brands today

No Deb - we went in Jain's V6 - her plate ends in 'VEE'. She does have a CS sticker in the rear window though. :approve: D.

Couple of Clio Cup racer pics from Brands today

Likewise matey! The inside of Druids is a great spot - I'll definitely sit there again if I revisit Brands. Those nutters in the BTCC race (post-oil-slick) were just mad, were't they? Bumper to bumper, into a hairpin corner with a large strip of dust covered oil on track?! Madness! :) D.

Couple of Clio Cup racer pics from Brands today

Loved the look of these little buggers - just wish you could order one from the showroom like this! Great day - the weather was spot on. The BTCC races themselves were awesome. D.

172/182/197 Clios and New Vxr Corsa

Vauxhall still haven't got back to me regarding the test drive. :( I think it looks great - much, much better than the 197, but I don't think it will be a patch on the Clio in terms of handling. Only comes with 16s as standard - the 18s being an optional extra. Initial finance quotes are...

    C&C3 Tiberium War - Arrived

There's something totally absent from SC that I can't quite put my finger on. I want to really like it, but I can't. It just feels 'bland' - for want of a better word? D.

    Ordered my F1 R27!!!

Love to see some piccies when it arrives. I've only seen stuff on the web for this and they are probably P'Shopped to buggery. Good to hear that the ride height has been lowered as well. D.

    Weird BF2142 in-game glitches

After having months of no problems with Battlefield 2142, I've started getting quite a few weird happenings in-game, over the last couple of weeks. Such as:- Stood near a missile silo as an engineer when the prompt comes up "(my name) teamkills - Zeller Sniper rifle". Since when does an...

    S.T.A.L.K.E.R's finally here.....

^^^^^ - STALKER is a shining pinnacle of software quality testing, compared to Battlecruiser 3000 though! Anyone ever try that piece of turd? My god. I actually bought it too. D.

    XP 64bit Worth it?

Depends what you're after, m8. If you're after gaming, probably not. About 95% of stuff is written purely for 32-bit anyway, so XP64 makes little difference. There is a small, but steady supply of developers supporting it now though - that and dual-core processors too. Still rare though. The...

    S.T.A.L.K.E.R's finally here.....

I agree with rich - it is p1ss-poor that within such a very (very) short space of time after release, a major patch comes out for it. And as he says, there's no way those 68 issues have 'just appeared'. More likely, they were under the kosh from THQ and needed to get the damn thing released -...

    S.T.A.L.K.E.R's finally here.....

Deletes all your saved games? FFS?! That will prove popular.............not. What happens on the next patch after this one? Will it be a case of loosing all the saved progress again? Bad, bad design and planning that. D.

Unfortunately not, Chris. I put about 20 minutes into it when it first came out, uninstalled it and never went near it again. It was pants, imo.... D.
