If there are other parts you can use too andits cheap enough then go for it. On ours the 1.2 dash trim is exactly the same colour as the 182 but without the shitty sticky soft touch coating. I don't even know if the 172 cup has the soft touch dash parts?

1.2 182 Ignore the dash strips and carbon obvs. The other parts will swap perfectly well. Dash top may not work, although the centre part can be swapped over if needed.

Maybe karcher were better built all those years ago? Still £500 on a kranzle is ott for the majority.

There's a good chance they have put the wrong spring on. Ask if they have the part number for what they fitted. Iirc cup springs are quite expensive from renault now @renaultpartsdirect ?

You say the bushed etc all look OK but if they are the originals they most likely aren't and adding more resistance at one point will enhance the weakness in another. I'd start collecting parts for a full suspension refresh.
