Makes you wonder what the newer AD08-R would be like in comparison as they are a softer compound.
Just a shame the older ones are in msa tyre list 1a but the newer AD08-R are probably going to be msa tyre list 1b. (I'm only allowed to use list 1a tyres for sprints)
I struggled to get some of the...
Stick with the Clios!
I've had 9 205's (still got a 1.9 on the drive) and there is no way I would go back to using one as a road rally / track / sprint / hillclimb toy after having the Clio.
Can't you borrow one? I had to borrow a helmet for my first 2 events as my OMP helmet that I bought for rallycross was no longer legal as it didn't have the flame retardant liner so it meant I have now had to bite the bullet and buy another helmet.
Well I've used it a few times now and double checked that nothing fouls/touches and there is still a really annoying clicking sound from the mount.
Further investigation required.
Same wheel base on the 2 and 4 doors and I don't think there is a great deal of weight difference so they still drive the same. 2 doors looks better though.
4 doors are still just as desirable for the motorsport scene, quite a few of the top Welsh road rally championship escorts are 4 doors. Proper bits of kit too.
Lake Vyrnwy, the road to Aberystwyth for Sweet Lamb, and Hafren. Guess you have been clocking a few miles up whilst you were down there.
Best place for seeing the aircraft flying is in the valley inbetween Dolgellau and Machynlleth. Its known as the Mach Loop, ive seen some excellent photos...
My claim to fame is that I have jumped Ballaugh Bridge on my bike - well it was really a bunny hop and it was a mountain bike, the opposite way to the bikers too. That part of the course is on the Isle of Man End to End Mountain bike race which I did in 2011. Closest I will ever get to riding a...
Ive got all respect with these guys, one of which lives a few miles away (Paul Owen - Hes on TT Closer to the Edge) and i will get over to watch and experience it one day.
There are 2 non bikers I also have respect for doing laps round there and they are Tony Pond and Mark Higgins.
In 1990 Tony...
Doubt a cup master cylinder would be that expensive new, it's probably an item that is used on other renaults and not really cup specific. Never had a mess about car with abs so not had to remove it before, so you might not even have to replace the master cylinder but just fit new lines from it...
To bin the abs, just need a cup master cylinder with 2 lines going to the front wheels then run 2 lines to the rear, 'T' them into 1, fit a tilton bios valve, then 'T' then line back to 2 lines that go to the rear brakes.
New brake fluid, adjust bios valve to suit and it's happy days.
Cheaper...
Had my Hero2 stuck on the dash at the weekend and there is a really annoying clicking sound on the video. Turns out it was the thumb screw vibrating against the case.
Lesson learnt for next time.
Needs the interior befitting and a few other bits and pieces, I got it mot'd with just the dash and drivers seat in it. It's had loads of new bits and I spent 800 having the bodywork tidied. Probably a couple of days to sort it all and it's time I don't have.
I even have to get my mate to sort...
Yeah, it's for sale on the 205 gti drivers forum as an unfinished project for £1500.
Had some interest but nobody has come to see it, they asked what it would fail mot on so I put it through one and it needed a couple of bulbs and the handbrake cable snapped on the test so I sorted them and it...
