lol, i meant spiffy as "pretty shiny things".
The standard shocks/cooksports/camber/RARB/R888's are more than adequate to carry decent speed on track, i had a similar setup on the Trophy for years, bar the front Sachs of course. In reality, setting up a set of decent coilovers properly takes...
Yeah, i think if i was buying one with a choice of colour, i would have gone for Nardo, but then, you need black leather with that really, which im not so keen on. I've grown to like the black now, although it does look dirty 100% of the time, which is a little bit of a pain - the Boxster on the...
If it helps, i bought one knowing loads about them & it still broke 😂
Doh!! At least you have 5 other cylinders to get you home.
Driving form Goodwood to Weybridge (40 miles) in the mini with one missing was a bit harder lol.
@Herr Flick - Car Gestapo didnt you have a grey SMG? I remember James banging on about how epic it was at the time! I know what you mean though, i love e46 M3's when i dont own one, but when i do, i just spend my life listening for small noises that might suggest impending doom 😂
Great videos so far @MarkCup
Only thing i would suggest is when you're using the internal camera, "focus" less on the dashboard, i came in halfway through and thought you were reviewing a Transit Connect :tonguewink:
Hurry up & get it run in btw, i want to see sideways drift videos.
Ha ha. Turinis look good on everything 😂
Although maybe not silver 8v's:
On the flipside, it would look ALOT better on the standard ones if it were a little lower ...
It should only pop in the Dynamic engine mode, even with my (standard) exhaust set to loud, there aren't any pops in comfort/auto mode. With a Milltek secondary de-cat there is much more noise, & that combined with the Audi Sports exhaust is pretty asbo. Especially when brapping it off the...
Its not so bad if you clean it occasionally, makes the interior a much nicer place to be though.
Light seats & dark headlining/doors/dash has a real premium feel about it i think
Had a "proper" cross-country drive in it last night in the p1ssing rain at midnight, with everything set to...
Mine rattled in traffic, its the lightweight flywheel. Wouldnt worry about it.
Also, if you haven't done the "clutch-stop" modification, do it, makes the gear change approx 1 billion times better!!
Little update on my Bro as he started his new job at Naughty Dog in Santa Monica in March - they are owned by Sony and do fairly well known titles such as "The Last of Us" and "Uncharted", for the older generation, they also did Crash Bandicoot 😂 I'm well chuffed for him as i remember...
I've used Raceglaze before, but im not sure if that is a "detailer approved" product 😂
Does the job perfectly well though, i need to get some as well - it always goes smooth on steering wheels!
Thanks!
Not too bad actually, about an hour on mine, 40 mins on Sarah's.
Her dirt was a lot more ingrained, so needed the nail brush a fair bit more!
The steering wheels have come up really nice as well, no more shiny leather
Finally got round to cleaning the leather. Not gonna lie, it was pretty rank, but i knew that already :mask:
Gliptone G12, a nail brush & microfibre to the rescue.
Some before & afters:
And the full interior:
Also did Sarah's TT as well, which was particularly dirty in places.
His...
Quick update on this. Bedford dipped their tank and gave me a free track day
So cue 10 months of it not being used (i bought an R56 fJCW after it became apparent that the R53's valve stems needed doing), then did a trackday on 1st May at Goodwood and its now ummm, dead.
In effect, i got...
Not much choice, flat tyre & they were closest to home in Weybridge!
Profile is so small i cant run them flat for very long without damage.
Same here. See you there! Or on the journey down no doubt.
