My mate has the 5 I think and he was saying it's not much of an improvement for him to upgrade yet.
The camera is good on his though.
As for my Note. I'm convinced the first phone I had was an absolute bag of shite. The replacement lasts all day now instead of having to charge it around 4pm...
I've rage quit this a few times recently. Starting on 50 health and no armour and getting absolutely twatted whilst trying to run around with no cover trying to pick up armour.
You coild get her a pixel book starting at £700 or so...
Or just get her a basic one for £250 which will be more than capable. Asus and Toshiba make them, not sure who else tbh.
Oh, Microsoft have a free office suite for Chromebook too apparently.
Is she?
Does she need certain programs running for school work (I've got all of this to come) or can she get away with google docs/ Microsoft.
If she can, then a chrome book would be perfect for her.
They also do one which flips to a tablet too.
I think CPW even wanted money from me to get it looked at.
If I have any issues with this Note after 28 days I'll be going directly to Samsung.
Tried the camera again. It's better for Lansdcapes.. also tired it last night when out doing some Astro photography. Bearing in mind some phones are...
Good luck with that if you are going contract route..
I ended up going to Huawai to get issues sorted with my 6p as CPW didn't want to know.
Hopefully if any issues come up you get them sorted.
I spoke to Google and if I'd have bought it cash I'd have had a replacement the next available day...
That's the two images that I posted. Once it's in the gallery you have the option to view it was wide angle or close up.
Live focus is supposed to be 1.2 meters away to work according to the in camera text.
Anyway, I'll be out tomorrow shooting some landscape so I'll see how it fares then and...
Maybe it's a massive improvement from the Note 4(?) that Gally was using. It's certainly not a massive leap from the Nexus 6p I came from.
Probably doesn't help that I've got a £2k+ DSLR in my hand daily.
The camera settings are on Max everything.
It boasts low lighting capabilities. My living room is hardly a cave...
This is one from yesterday on Live focus.
The wide angle isn't too bad actually. Click the close up and it looks like it's been taken with a potato.
Wide angle.
Close up...
The phone itself is decent. I probably should be moaning more about Samsung and not behind able to uninstall the likes of Linked in, or other apps that they force on you. I've had massive updates for these apps too so there's a bit more space lost.
Bixby is awful. I've disabled it now so the...
It's on contract.
Had a replacement as it flagged up with us fault on his checker. Another 28 day "no quibble" returns guarantee on this handset now.
I was waiting for the pixel 2xl after having various Google phones in the past but I didn't like the sound of the screen burn after reading a...
Maybe it's over sensitive.
It was off charge and in my hand when it came on (my hands aren't sweaty) and then it came on again today whilst it was on a desk.
Battery hasn't been great either the. Under capacity according to Accu battery and dropped 15% during a 20 minute commute listening to...
It's not good for a 2 week old phone.
Tried wiping it last night and it didn't do anything. It's gone off on it's own accord this morning after probably 30 minutes.
And it's back on.
There's not very much in it between the Pixel 2 and 2XL size wise.
My note 8 is pretty much the same size as my nexus 6, just a tad narrower.
I've had a moisture warning come up on the note (It's never been wet or near moisture). Apparently it's quite common after looking online. Not the best...
As Gally says, any Samsung app that can be binned off I have done.
Some can't be uninstalled unfortunately. I did uninstall the dialler by mistake when I first got it. Took me a while to get it back 😂
There's a few things available to replace the Bixby button with Google Assistant...
I got through it earlier.
Didn't have the laser gun, had the bomb thrower and the 6 ammo you get in the room.
Ended up running and gunning and was at about 2 health and hiding for a second before taking out the last big hitter.
The drones are the worse imo. Little f*****s.
It'll take me a...
The thing is, I've walked over some ammo and armour and it's been auto added, other times you need to piss about pressing buttons, especially annoying when in/preparing for an onslaught..
It just doesn't make sense.
I had an hour on it last night. Died a few times but haven't bothered changing the difficulty as it was mainly down to me not concentrating.
Graphics are very nice on the PS4. Had hoped they would have changed the pick-up system for ammo and health tbh, pressing square for every bit of ammo or...
That's what I'm doing now
Not keen that you still can delete certain Samsung apps.
How do you stop the lock screen notifications showing "contents hidden"?
Fingerprint sensor isn't anywhere near as good as on the 6p for position or recognition imo, it's too small and not as responsive.
I'm...
I don't mix pockets and I'm fairly careful in the car with phones, but working on a boat isn't the best for trying to keep things nice and tidy!
I'll see how thing go. Just charging it before i set it up. Hopefully it's fairly straightforward coming from the Nexus.
