Not a lot of work at all.
Make it difficult as the gearbox cannot be seperated from the engine until it is lifted out, plus my drive way is on a hill didnt make it easier.
No 8l. Basically the new engine had a leak on the sump when it was on the car. So i used 4l of oil on that, small self tapper screw and a bit of araldite., ran the engine for a day(well 3/4 hours). Then took the sump of the old engine, and replaced current sump with old sump. So the oil was then...
After this terrible thread: http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=242895
My car is now back on the road. This is what i needed to do to get the car on the road.(After one week and one day)
Parts:
New D-Type engine, (milage unknown) due to the big ends going in old engine.
Welded...
Rear "eyes"? Surely the person means the wheel cylinders? You can get both sides for £45, and i did them myself, just disconnected, then attached back, then bled the brakes. Job done.
I have the loom connected to the clocks. I want them to work, so any ideas on what senders i need.
Or if someone has done this can they help me make them work?
I have the 16v clocks in my car at the moment and im taking out my engine for a replacement of the same engine, d-type.
Is it possible that people have made the dials work to get the oil presure, temp and level?
If so what did you do and what did you need?
Thanks.
Nice a mark 1 phase 3.
I like the bonnet with the built in eyebrows, nice touch.
Speaking of which, what engine is it? 1.2? D-type?
You going to wire the williams gauges to work?
Great Ali, makes me want to get a go in it so much. I couldnt believe i saw a williams 2 when you turned up at Alans. It looked so nice.
Let me know when you want to sell it. Im interested already.
I am wanting to swap my renault battery for a "normal" car battery. IE do away with the screw type terminals to the clamp type. As the battery is about a third cheaper to replace.
My nearside headlamp has been fogging quite badly and on closer inspection the lamp glass is very loose.
How is this ment to be attached to the headlamp body as the offside appears to be bonded to the body.
Mark 1 Phase 3 Clio.
Found a loose pink wire hanging down from the nearside loom, under the headlamp area.
It was long enough to drag on the floor, which is where i found it.
Mark 1 Phase 3 Clio.
Any ideas what this wire could be?
What has anyone done to convert the postive leads on the mark 1 clios to fit onto a "standard" battery terminal?
What parts did you require without cutting existing leads?
Is there a conversion kit as such for this job?
Noone in this thread said how fast the user was going. So dont judge.
Please people, keep the posts clean, otherwise i will take this futher.
I dont like arguements on CS over petty things, he crashed a car, wow, many people crash and thats that. He posted up a thread in good will. Now drop...
Generally that means change otherwise you can feck the engine. Its the you have lost optium gear change and you better change quick.
Its more of a warning light.
Ahh ok, sorry didnt know about that, maybe arrangement would be a tad better next year.
No harm though, the club seemed to enjoy it, no matter where people parked.
I wasnt meaning that stands need to be prefect. I liked the stand this year and that is my first year.
I would love to know what the "special" and "perfect" stand means.
I like when a club is a club and the stand has cars, and members are enjoying the day.
No, i just dont want to see CS to become stuck up, and its not all about the stands. Sure nice cars, but im sure a lot of people go for the experience and see what others do.
