It’s not a loophole. It’s an exemption related to modified cars. If you get pulled over by the police, and since MOT’ing it you’ve made the car illegal in some way, you’ll be in trouble.
If it’s caged, it will all be fine, as long as whatever has come out has come out fully, and there are no warning lights on dash (I.e. ABS). My personal experience, is uncaged and you can’t argue it’s competition. Caged, much easier.
As flagged above, you want the MOT’er to know their stuff and...
I had Sparco EVO3 in the flamer way back when (in XL size) and they were comfortable enough for me to do Le Mans and back. Unsure if they still make them?

Mix of survival, crafting, action and some quite frankly jump out of your skin moments. It’s also complete “free play” across a large...
It’s got nothing to do with the fact you’ve fitted a turbo.
It’s the fact you’re driving it without it being mapped. Of course it will be misfiring and running badly.
“Everybody has plans until they get hit first time”. Mike Tyson.
It’s a bit like that on the ‘ring.
“Just drive aware, like it’s a B road. Watch your mirrors”……
You mean like everyone who has had a crash at the ring to date? Including the recent infamous M2 vs GT3 RS crash.
The reality, is...
I have to build up to it.
Shepherding you clownshoes virtually every day, is a thankless task.
Let alone being exposed to it all in real life.
As I said last year, I chalk it up at work as a volunteering day for charity. Which it is, because of a large proportion of you.
