Quaiffe doesn't make any noises really, only the gripper. It may be something else, so worth checking out. I'd be amazed if someone fitted a diff but didn't fit coilovers etc.

I agree with stripping the interior. The easiest / cheapest way to make any clio faster is to lose weight from it.
