Washing in an underground carpark. When Living in a block of flats.....

New C1 is shite though, going off Kevingsessesss comments. If I was as fussed as you, CQUK with reload top ups (when I can wash it properly at the folks). In between, contactless wash with CP has mine looking more shiny than anything else on the street, which is home to some...

PEUGEOT SPORT returns to Pike Peaks !!! With Sebasten Loeb and a Special 208 !

    Q. Why do we need France on our side against Saddam and Osama? A. So the French can show them how to surrender. Q: How many Frenchmen does it take to defend Paris? A: Nobody knows, it's never been tried. Q. Why don't they have fireworks at Euro Disney? A. Because every time they...

Washing in an underground carpark. When Living in a block of flats.....

Not sure why this has turned into a general chat thread about house prices? A friend owns a £1.25m flat in central London/Old Street which has communal parking. What difference does that make? And who gives a damn about being the "local weirdo" washing his car in the carpark? Anyway, Toby. Back...

Carbon'd. Drive to jet wash. CP, pay for jet wash, enter code, jet wash off. Wash it properly at the parents every so often.

Mark Webber test drives Renaultsport 200T

Good thing Infiniti are in the group too, what with all of the branding on Marks clothing!

    Detailing Chat & Questions Thread

Yeah, Kev, you saw mine. Another thing, which is clearly down to over application - I'd sometimes get MFs getting stuck to the paint on removal... not stuck, but more friction than should be the case when removing a decent wax.

My first (and last) pot of Vics red was like a sorbet. I don't think this helped application tbh. I'd rather a solid Carbon feel, or at least Glasur. Not really answering your query, lad. Apologies!

    Help with clio

In this photo you can see the holes where the clips for the bullets go into the bump strip. You can see these clips by turning the bump strip over (something you can't do while it's on the car). This is a safer way of doing it. I went through about three sets before realising how...

Have to agree with Adammcunitdot on this one, Dave. The clips break very easily, so the whole bump strip off is the better/safest option.

Criticism, 800 is way too coarse and it's unlikely you've been able to fully remove the score marks made my this level of paper. Positives, what a difference!!!! And the above point only really applies if you're anal on the detail side of things.

Oh and I'd rather have this sort of thread, Adamm. and Tobias. It's the way I found out about the afore mentioned products - discussion and challenging my methods/products.

    Snow foam

Hey, it's personal experience, isn't it. CP is a product that has changed my detailing habits. Very few products have done that in the 8 years I've been detailing (C4, GT windscreen products, Af's mercury metal polish...).

    Cleaning the engine bay

Depends on personal experience and budget. Tesco Daisy APC at circa £1. Megs APC at £15-20. AF Citrus Power Etc.

Disagree. You spend not a lot on HW and it lasts you yonks. Lance is £35. I know people spending that on buckets and grit guards...

    Snow foam

G101 4:1 through the lance = grime and old LSP stripper. Done. Then decontam incl clay, polish, seal; done.
