budget polisher?? any suggestions neeed one asap

Nothing is cheap in detailing lad. What else do you need? You need to put together a list of what you need, or get someone to do it for you.

budget polisher?? any suggestions neeed one asap

I agree with the first bit! Second bit, just means I doubt the polishers' abilities from previous trials, but I'm happy to have my doubts (scepticisms ;)) reversed :)

budget polisher?? any suggestions neeed one asap

SRP as said above is a filler polish. It does still polish as it contains cutting particles. However, it is by no mean a swirl corrector, more a masker of. I agree, but have personal preference to Menzerna 203s with the same hand pads :) I am very happy to have my scepticisms put to rest lad...

Drying Towel - What Have You Got?

It's still a risk lad. And to be honest, for the price of a deep pile towel, you might as well spend the extra few quid on an automotive specific towel.

He means detailing will bankrupt you and give you daytime nightmares.

    this sound ok?

Ha, lazy git! It is well worth it for other products, but depends on how you see it, your budget and how far down the slippery slope of detailing you want to go!

Meguiars Gold Class from Halfords (presume that's where you're shopping?).
  14. J

    this sound ok?

Yep, but there isn't much need to dry between washing and waxing. Just rinse. That way, you have more lubrication on the panels, since you are new to all this :)

budget polisher?? any suggestions neeed one asap

Not really, because they break very easily and there is no control. Either hand polish or spend on a decent polisher.

budget polisher?? any suggestions neeed one asap

The lack of heat build up to break down the polish and the lack of torque from the motors. This means they just bog down when any sort of pressure is applied, usually ending up in the motors burning out.

Most expensive car wash and wax

Dead right Andy, my mistake lad! To wash and wax a car most detailers could be done in hours. To take the paint/other surfaces back to factory condition requires time. Have you machine polished Audi paint before? It's not a walk in the park! :D

Drying Towel - What Have You Got?

It would work, but it might scratch the paint work due to being too thin a pile and no MF properties.

anyone used this by turtle wax?

Quick Clay Kit? If so, yes. As long as you have a clay bar and a bottle of detailing spray/lube (and a MF which I think those kits come with) then you'll be OK.

    Don't.

Fool proof way of stopping expanding boost hoses!!

It's actually a common problem on VAG cars to have TIPs that expand and degrade over time. One of the legends over on Audi sport has actually fab'd a metal 3" TIP - that is a piece of art. That on the other hand is just hilariarse. Sent from my iPhone using Brown Bear

Wheel Brushes - What You Got?

As with most products that cost more, they are either better designed and therefore better at their intended use, or they are better built and so last longer. In this case, the more expensive brushes will be less likely to scratch your wheels while at the same time offering very easy use...

Removing deep scratches on a bg

Front wing would potentially mean bonnet and bumper and door "blowing" in, so could be costly. Same with the 3/4 I'm afraid. Can only suggest that you get in touch with more than one bodyshop to get an idea on pricing and quality of work chap.

Removing deep scratches on a bg

If it's white it's through to the primer, as you've guessed. Where, how large an area etc?
