My dad's seen them moving most of that around as he works near by (still at Fords) I wanna go in there!!
They are steel wheels, that ring round the edge comes off. I'm 99% certain that the 'pepper pot' wheels were an optional extra back in the day, but most cars were specced with them, those...
Lol!!
Nope, they're five stud for a start & the offsets front & rear are totally different on a Mk1, they differ again on the Mk2, but they're 18's so will need load sof work to fit your 172.
This thread has my afternoon. I'll be sure to check back later.
Also since when was a 197 £2000 more to buy than a 182 ? I though the difference was a lot more.
I hate people who do this & find it really annoying. I try to take two spaces if I can, or if not, park it right up in one corner of the space.
Some w*nker always parks really close to me in one car park, the same person every time! Jokes on them next time, I'm moving.
Swapz seems a proper chavvy name, I'm not surprised the car wasn't good. Imo sell your car, get the money & go looking.
I actually like the look of that cup as a whole, but not the story that goes with it.
Thanks, I'd probably only ever want to go as a passenger, no way I'd want to drive round it.
I think now it's more of a fashion thing so it seems to attract a lot of idiots who think it's race, that's my perception.
It's also worth remembering that most manufacturers tend to keep stock of parts for around ten years, so after that (and when people have raided scrap yards etc) they'll be harder to come by. That's one of the reasons that getting parts for old 80's / 90's hot hatches is hard (and expensive)
Fair play on doing it & putting all of the time & effort in. I do remember the car from years ago. It's not my thing etc, but if you like it that's all that matters.
I can't see the whole scene going full circle though, I was right there in the Max Power days too, but I'm glad I don't get...
I did go yeah, for about four years or so (but I last saw you a couple of years ago at that RR meet in Lakeside) I came back at the end of July.
A catch up would be good!
Re: My new car. TTQS
New wheel looks great, really nice! lots better than the leather one. I do kind of prefer the car with the badges on the back, it looks a bit naked without them.
Durbin, PM me back.
Long time no see :dapprove:
I didn't even realise that you'd sold it to him. Kudos for buying it back, is it a keeper now then ?
I remember seeing the cup years ago down Lakeside Tesco's back when I had my 16v lol, that was probably shortly after you got it, I'd not even met you back then!
I...
