Tardis is also a good shout by that man Luke-Skywalker-Broad. The best bet would be to make sure that your car is properly waxed. I have the same problem when parking at my girl friends, especially if it rains. However, mine has several layers of wax/sealent on it so it will just wash off.

SRP and EGP is a very well respected set of products to use. It is also my standard reply to most new people to car washing.

Sealent, Chem Guys Blitz Spray. Wax, what's your budget? Once you know your budget search "wax" in the detailing section and it will bring up thousands of threads, both listing and comparing all the waxes available.

It will bead because of the fillers. It has not protected the paint and will therefore leave it open to contaminents. If you drive the car/take it outside before you have sealed or at least waxed the car you are undoing all of your work - i.e. wasting time.

It contains fillers. Not sealents. You can't expect something to polish, fill and seal and protect all in one :S??

SRP is not a wax. It's a polish. Claying will sort the tar, or some tar remover (like Auto Glym Intensive Tar Remover). Polish . . . polishes! Wax . . . waxes! Prepare with a polish, seal with a wax.

Should be using a secondary piece of clay. I buy, use on paint, then use on windows, then use on wheels as a last ditch attempt to get some useage out of it! Once it is grey with dirt, in the bin it goes!

I have to admit that I don't like the blue of the seats, bit like the Focus RS, but that colour is superb. Black wheels compliment it wonderfully, as do the yellow decals.

Ha :) Buy, use, sell if necessary. Or find someone (like that DB character!) that will wax the car for you for a price/give you a sample to use. Make your decision that way.
