Re: iPhone accessory must haves?
Yeha I might well just do that, easier! Although I have an old iPod mini that sits in the car getting scratched that is just fine for now!
Nigel, the ebay link above is a solid case, not for me (tend to keep phones in better condition than my car!) but worth a...
Process would be snow foam, wash, clay, wash, dry, two stage polish dependant on paint condition, then sealed ready for waxing.
If the car does not need claying this will be taken out of the equation.
Paint work for that size of car will cost you 125 from me. But you are easily 25 quids worth of petroleum away from me!
This however is not a full detail.
Re: iPhone accessory must haves?
Have an old but very high caliber Alpine unit, 9855r with iPod lead. So hoping that will work. If not I'll just buy an X001/2/3/100 or what ever.
I am putting up a thread of comparison tonight. Bought some BH autofoam and to say that I was disappointed is an understatement.
CYC standard stuff for me.
Definitely using far too much pressure there fella. Mine used to look like that after about 6 months!
The flash ones are atrocious and break apart from the handle after one wash. Useless and a waste of £7 or what ever they are in Halfrauds.
Old horse hair one that came with wonder wheels years ago, still going strong today. I want to buy the Chem Guy's Gerbil brush;

Since there is a questions and must have applications thread, what are your must have accessories to go with the iPhone?
Mine will hopefully be here next week, subject to Natwest getting their arse in gear and sending me a new card to use with paypal!
Already looking at buying a docking...
Re: iPhone Q&A DONT START ONE QUESTION IPHONE THREADS. **POST HERE**
Well as of later today I will be part of the iPhone "crew". 3G, 16gb in . . . white ;)
Selling the Storm, so will be on here and ebay, not that anyone in this thread will be interested.
I know that 172Ben off here has been...
A car shampoo that strips wax deliberately. What ever next???
Some products do as they are alkali or acidic, but most shampoos are designed to be wax safe. If they weren't you would have to rewax your car every time you washed it. Now I have OCD, but even I couldn't be arsed to do that!!
You said that was what you used for a detail. A detail is the list as above. Paint correction is not a detail. Paint correction is paint correction. It is part of a detail, but not "a detail".
Doing it by hand you are not going to achieve that level of correction fella. But there are some decent polishes that can get a good result. RussZS on here is your best bet for hand stuff as he knows more than I do!
Think it was finished with Chem Guys Blitz spray and P21s as a wax, can't...
Mikey, seriously? I am on my third replacement Storm. Always slow to load, always needs to soft reset, always fails calls five times before going through and connecting etc etc etc!
Alan, those unlimited offers are capped, just to inform you lad. Texts at 3k, land line calls at 3k and I think the internet fair usage is at 500mb. Same basic deal as me.
Completely understand where he is coming from, but he could get rid of his phone and get a better one that would save his frustration in the evenings when he can't get his emails, unless he logs on to the laptop!
JD "Dad, just heard that Orange have breached contract, get a brand new phone and sell the old one on ebay and make a couple of 100 quid!!"
Dad "No, the changes aren't going to affect me. I'll just stay with them."
FFS honest people!
