Si, Megs N016 is very cheap and a good all rounder. Problem is that I use it for drying, detailing, lube and a few other uses (bit on a MF for the interior dust is great :)), but it is so easily diluted it is great!
Wouldn't do that again mate, the idea of clay lube is to have lubricants under the clay. You are going to seriously marr your paintwork doing it with just water mate.
I had the same before mine blew mate, twice. Takes the piss that Maxtor would not do anything about it, since they are technically responsible for it's failure. However, I guess I will never not back up again.

Taster products have never swayed me (got quite a few from Autopia due to the amount I spent there a few summers back). IMO better products out there for the money.

I would suggest just Super Resin Polish as the polish. Then a sealent like ChemGuys Blitz or good old Extra Gloss Protection.

New Audi's paint is softer Ali, aluminium bodywork means water based paint due to bonding difficulties with other paints.
R8 was relatively easy to detail (still took two days of 8-9pm) but in comparison to the RS4/6s that I have done, totally different kettle of fish!
