I don't think it's a genuine series 1, I think it started out as something else. No s1 was Y reg. I could have been an rs1600i, but deffo not a genuine series 1 !
The gartrac conversion is mint (most on here won't know what gartrac did, nor who they are tbh)
It looks awful though.
The one I went in was a tms stage 4, grey 53 reg one - dude from the vx site. There was a stage 5 car there (I went to a vx meet) that one was blue with some multi-spoke wheels on it. I didn't go in it though.
- Going by your forum name did you used to have a clio V6 ?
Renault quote a lot for a camblet, but most use a speacialist & pay about half.
The only clio that costs a grand for a cambelt is a vee. From renault it's a lot more.
If the stealers really desperate to get rid, it might be bit of a lemon (duff car) athough it still has warranty on it.
If you've seen it & like it (it's is good) do a deal.
Is that meg going rate money or over the top ?
If it's going rate then fair play. If it's over then not such a good deal - the stealer has offered you more as he has to get his profit from somewhere.
Nice one. I saw the ad & put it up on here when we had a big thread about vx's, the price it was up for was very good, as the amount of money spent & the up-grades were ace. It'll will be madder still if it goes to the next stage:D
I've been in a stage 4'd normal 220turbo & it was silly quick. I...
The sport mats for a phase 2 172 are just plain black mats, for a phase 1 car they are a plain bluey colour.
Neither have any writing on them etc. Only the cut outs for fitting them.
Was that vxr220 for sale recently ?? I was reading an ad for a silly tuned up one a few months ago. Just wondered if it's the same car.
I was considering a normal vx220t when I saw that ad.
The header tank is at the back of the engine where the heat sheild is (if your car has one)
iirc the brake fluid reservoir is the quite small plastic rectangle shaped bit also at the back of the engine (it's on the bulk head too) you'll see it by following the brake lines (they are green)...
I hate cortina's (apart from the mk1 & 2 ones)
I see it's rolling on turbines though;)
- joke btw, I know the stock wheels aren't turbines, they look a bit like them though.
