Ice, keep it on the patch for as long as possible. It makes it quite hard and is easier to then pick off.

Products wise, to polish and seal it will be personal choice frmo the detailers on here and the same for any colour of car. Wax will be the only difference, ie which adds/looks the best on RB.
Yeah you could hand polish them, but I don't think you will get the necessary pressure/polishing to remove it sadly, tis only a couple of quid to get it sorted :)
Yeah it seems to be a standard problem, unsure what it is or why it builds up.
Correction wise, its best to use a machine polisher with some good cutting compound like Menzerna IP.
