sounds like limp mode, mine does this from time to time, i turn the engine off, press the interior door lock on and off, then restart the engine, in one quick motion lol sorts it for me think it is something to do with the gearing sensor?? correct me if im wrong fred jamie

^^^ thats only true on newer clios isnt it dan? mine had no tint at all from the factory, its a 52 reg 1.2 16v. i had it tested as my uncle has access to testing equipment. now have 25% tints all round; jamie

this im sure is some sort of grease to protect battery points, mine had a nice liberal and messy spraying after going in for its 36k service over summer. i never inquired but it was a b**ch to make clean and shiny again :( pretty sure thats what it is :) jamie

this is the thing with RS clios, mine will do 350 down to london travelling at 70, probs is because i have a lowly 1.2 16v, my fifth gear is up to 3500revs so out of the most economical bracket!! if im doing 60 i get 45 :D but then again i dont really go anywhere lol would be interested to...
