A lot don't do it as it would make the car harder to sell on, some crashed cars have under gone a colour change though. I personally wouldn't touch a car that wasn't in it's original colour, no mater how good the respray was.

Same thing happened years ago to a mate of a mate, he had a mk3 escort with an rst engine in it. He'd lowered it into the ground, he was booting it over a fly over, the car lifted, the springs popped out, when he landed the car was on the floor :lolup:

I'd get it hpi'd before I paid for it. The warranty will usually be for if parts on the car break, the hpi part is separate. Eg, say that hpi say that the car is un-recorded & you buy it, then they later say that it is recoreded etc, you'll have a come back against them...

FYI - If you've already bought it & you hpi it, they won't cover you if anything later turns up about the car, you hpi it first.

I prefer the shorter ones, but I tihnk that they should end at the bottom of the boot, not at the top of the rear number plate. In real life though, i'd go without stripes at all.

As said k-tec do them, but imo they look sooo tacky it's un-true. A better bet would be to get a grill from a 172/182, they're about £40 new from renault, they look much better.

I've seen a few mk1's with smoothed out rub strips too, that looks cool, be a nightmare for car park dings though. - Winston has it right imo, his old black valver was great :approve:

I had a 10" one, the amp was on the side of it (I think they've updated them now though & moved the amp to the top of the box) Halfrauds sell them, but you can get them cheaper online I think. - Re question 1, an amp doesn't provide bass by itself. I guess whoever told you that was talking...

I wouldn't do it, sure they're fast as standard anyway (I read thta this one has 300bhp) They are very ugly though & look dated, you'll look like a proper boy racer in it too.
